Unfortunately, had to go to the Seneca Wal-Mart the other day to pick up a few things, because it was the most convenient place. There were people wondering all through the grassy lot nearby, with bags and carts. Some guy was hanging his bag of belongings in a tree with a sign that said he was a homeless vet. Across from the Bountyland gas station, there was another standing at the stop light asking for money. I’ve seen one over at the CVS digging through his bags, his pants falling down, and mooning everyone on Blue Ridge Blvd.
I think they’re being bused in from other cities: Atlanta, Greenville, Columbia.

While I was living in Columbia/Lexington, Haley was governor. Had a friend who worked in the governor’s office who said that she had been getting into it with the mayors of Atlanta and Charlotte. The cities were buying their homeless bus tickets and sending them to downtown Cooterville.

My nephew is a deputy sheriff at a county in South Carolina. He told me they would
pick up homeless drifters and drop them in the next county.

They’re everywhere, not just Seneca. In most of our smaller towns, if out and about it looks like the fair is in town with all the carnie look-a likes rambling and hanging around.

unfortunately, the "something in those hills" is oxy. I've hired recovering addicts from that area & also had a family member tell me the drug pipeline to Oconee is robust. Y'all remember the kid who tried to rob Redfern for the pills a few years back?

I went to take my dog out to a pond in the middle of the Frances Marion forest the other day and there was a needle laying in the edge of the water. I think the heroin and meth have gotten out of hand.

They're freaking everywhere. Crack, meth, and heroin. Almost every interstate exit ramp has them. They come up to me now while I'm at the drive thru and knock on my window. It's so annoying.

Not just annoying... Some of them are too lazy to work, some are mentally ill and most are capable of mugging or robbing or killing people if the mood strikes...

Just yesterday in York Co. they made the biggest drug bust ever in taking 8 kelo’s meth off the streets. The drug problem has not stopped at all. It is at a all time high.
SO SAD!!!!!

They were sleeping on the floor at several of the post offices at night, got to where you couldn't go in there at night and get your mail.
