Those of you who paid your bills and worked hard to maintain

11

excellent credit are now invited (required) to pay MORE for mortgage loans in order to assist those who were not as thrifty as yourself.

Apparently, it's the new "American Way".

Bidenomics strikes again...

7

May 2, 2023, 8:32 AM

This clown wants to rewrite the rules of the economy so those who have spent a lifetime working hard, paying their bills timely, and establishing good credit now have to pay more to support those who have spent a lifetime being less fiscally responsible.

If anyone thinks this practice will stop with mortgages, they're fooling themselves. Pretty soon it will be cars, boats, motorcycles, RV's, and vacation homes. After all, just because you can't afford those things doesn't mean you don't deserve them and shouldn't have them (rolling eyes).

The Demoncrats won't be happy until everyone is suppressed and America is destroyed. The sad part is that they can't see that the poorer they make Americans, the sooner they will be broke.

working hard and paying bills getting less and less appealing

wonder if we will get forced labor after everyone is totally broke and dependent

There is something else that was announced a few weeks back…something something those with better credit pay an extra quarter on new loans that goes towards supplementing those with lesser credit or something like that

You’re being disingenuous when you say an extra quarter. It’s a lot more than a quarter.

....Back in the day...if you had bad credit and wanted to buy a home you paid a higher interest rate and or PMI until you could prove you were going to make your payment in time...Now ....IT IS DADGUM REVERSED!

Actually, that is just the opposite of the "American way" and is Soviet style redistribution of wealth. The eggheads who teach this in our universities have obviously never lived under this system and have never achieved out in the real world. They are destroying our country and they know it.

Tigernet has got some pretty good commentary on here.

Yeah my dad, who has worked very hard his whole life and out away several mil (was an air force then airline pilot then airline management now has his own little LLC doing consulting) is VERY concerned about losing everything.

I don't know what to tell him. Put it all into real estate is the only way I know how he can shield his wealth. Real estate still has amazing tax benefits. Hopefully that doesn't go away.

It's terrible folks. Penalizing the producers and rewarding the non producers is the way to the dole for everyone.

I guess the 2008 housing bubble was not bad enough for them, so they want to repeat it. Although the cause of it in 2008 was mostly sub-prime loans, it still amounted to selling houses to a lot of people who could not afford to own homes. You are not doing people a favor who can't afford to own a home by making something available they can't afford. It reminds me of people who never ask the price of a car ....... only what the down payment is.

which started by giving loans to anyone for any reason. And then finished off by the bankers with CDO's and derivatives. "oh we bankers don't need regulations!!" if the banking industry would have at least a few morals, then we wouldn't have to regulate. We have GOT to have someone other than Biden and Trump. Please Lord, deliver our people from making this mistake again.

Yes it is stupid. It only pertains to people going the FHA route for mortgages. If you do a conventional mortgage then you’re still rewarded for having great credit and laying down a nice down payment.
