No one hates Coach Leggett

To all his diehard supporters:
I think I can confidently speak for the "New Coach Now" crowd by saying we don't hate Coach Leggett. He's been a great coach and a good ambassador for Clemson.
From my view, Coach Leggett has been paid very well for over 20 years. He's done his best, but Clemson isn't as competitive as it once was. From a statistical point of view, Jack's winning percentage and wins per season are down, and the losses are up. We haven't finished higher that 2nd in our division since 2010. The ACC has gotten tougher, and Coach Leggett hasn't adapted. We haven't made it out of a Regional since 2010 too.
The question isn't "is Clemson baseball in decline?" The real question is "how low will it go at the current projection?" Do we have to have sub .500 teams? Miss the ACC tourney a few times?
I'd rather not go that low. This season was bad enough.

Jeffers: Well said and I agree. He needs to be retired, thanked for all his contributions over the years to the Tiger, provide with a classy retirement party and wished the best. If that is not enough for him, I would summarily terminate him. The Clemson Baseball Program needs to be rebuilt and needs to move forward.

Leggett has been in baseball a long long long time. He's cut guys who could not make the team. He's pulled pitchers in the middle of games, pulled hitters in the middle of the game and decided for himself, based on the performance of the players, that they were no longer the best choice for the well being of the team.
That is basic baseball. Happens all the time. Happens at every level of the sport.
Someone should pull Leggett. Take the ball out of his hands. Take the bat out of his hands. Take his glove off the field. Get him out of the dugout.
No hard feelings. Nice job. Way to go.
Clemson baseball needs to make a change.

I don't think Clemson baseball has enough followers for them to force him out, unless his contract is up.

You need to tell the AD to resource baseball at higher level than6th in conference.Dollars spent per player places us between 6-8 the last 5 years.The knight commission report is revealing.iIn addition,if we intend to obey the letter and the spirit of 11.7/34 then a new coach is not all that is needed.

those baseball plyaers don't lack funding. they all have their own little mopeds to ride around campus. the red carpet is rolled out for them.
