We’ll make a big jump forward from the experience we got in this game.

There’s a couple of things I would do if I were CBV. I’d give them guys from last years recruiting class the whole game. Who cares if they score 20 points. I’d much rather beat em 52-20 vs 52-0... get my drift? Get them 5* schollys ready to play by November.

Also, I’d play and/or move some personnel to safety. Surely we got some backup linebackers that could do better than last night.

As for the offense. What’s wrong with rotation of the qb’s during a drive. Also get Trevor in there and let him run and throw. All I heard and hear from the coaches is the play calling doesn’t change with who’s in but it sure is heck seems like it. I’d also give Trevor some freedom to change the play- ala DW4.

Both qb’s appear to be playing tight or scared. Finally, where was Galloway last night? He’s flashed but was he ever in or get any targets. Yes, kb should be our starter but don’t give up on Trevor and keep putting him in even if he does make a mistake... he’s a big boy and can handle it.

Yes, same thing I said! Lawrence looked scared to get hit, A&M's D pressured both QB's all night but Lawrence was not able make quick responses. He scammbled left when he should have went right, threw the ball when he had lanes to tuck and run. I Know it will come with experience and he'll learn. Bryant had the advantage of being able to run the ball. And I wish they would get away with the screen pass, it very seldom works. When the throw the ball to the sideline it is dangerous for our receiver's and against a good defense it's risky

Am I the only one who noticed all the offensive holding on A&M that was never called until the last play on 2 point conversion. That was going on all night.

Exactly ! Clelin Ferrell was literally being tackled most of the night ! However, we STILL have problems COVERING the TE and teams have noted that and use it over and over. Alabama torched us in BOTH Title games with #88 . We have to correct that it's obvious we have trouble stopping TEs.

We are doing enough not to lose. And well, it worked.

A Number OF Things....

Sep 9, 2018, 4:43 PM

were obvious. We gave up on the run game and our play calling wasn't the best . The amount of no calls on the holding by A&M was massive.

The blown coverages reminded me of the 2015 Natty game against Bama. One day we'll get that fixed.

Overall I though Bryant looked good with the exception of a few missed passes.

The D line was gassed at the end.

A win is a win no matter how it looked.

We've got GOOD TB's - need a conventional running game. Same problem we had last year - can't line up and run the ball and we have to that with TL coming along. For now KB getting it done for us. For now we have to be happy with an ugly win and assume VB will make sure the defense stops reading the clippings on how good they are and gets to work.
No style points on this one but keep winning and we'll be fine!!

Has anyone talked much about the amount of offensive holding on A&M that was maverick noticed by refs until last play on 2 point conversion. They were holding all night
