Are our current issues simply some bad recruiting luck?

Going back to 2017, we had tee and amari in one class, so two home runs. Then in 2018 , justyn and derion. So one for two there. In 2019, Ladson and Ngata were can’t miss guys, and neither one can play football. Specter was also in that class. Then the Covid class seems to not be panning out with collinsx2 and stellato. Throw in there another can’t miss recruit in DJ….now it seems like we’re back on track with Williams, Randall, Cade, and Vizzina (another can’t miss!)…

So…setting aside the player development complaints some folks have, have we just been really unlucky with the “can’t misses”, combined with the numbers we usually take allowing for no misses, and the Covid year where we couldn’t get families on campus?
Seems like we’re back on track with Randall and Williams …. Like to hear from Leon Trotsky and other recruiting dudes…

Most won’t agree, but the current state of affairs seems like a jimmy and joes issue and not an X and O issue

we def have had some busts. Its not unheard of when it comes to receivers. But we need to get back to the 6'2/-6'4 guys who can fly and are aggressive at attacking the ball. Our receivers are overall always slow and often times tentative at attacking the ball.
