I’m really not a fan of Biden, but broad statements like these drive me crazy. The average per gallon of gas The final month before Trump took office was $2.45. The first month under Trump was $2.42 and it would climb to $2.52 within 2 months and hit a high for that year of $2.76. $2.76 was higher than any single month from the prior year. The following year the gas would see a high of $2.98 per gallon and 2019 was similar. The cost of gas was $2.63 in January of 2020 and the cost of gas would fall pretty far after Covid hit and world demand was down.

How is that equal to the cost of gas becoming cheap the minute Trump took office?

Yet people still think the government is there to help***

in terms of oil production, Trump started it during the pandemic

Mar 6, 2022, 9:29 PM

when consumption was way down and demand was sinking even lower. People were hunkering down at home, work from home exploded, vacations & unnecessary travel cancelled, airline flights tanking, etc. He even met with OPEC to get them to reduce production, fearing the effect of such lower gas prices on US oil companies.

You can google it and find a ton of articles, it was no big secret.
