No. 4...

Mar 13, 2014, 6:03 PM

Well we've made a big deal about Watson wearing number 4 and it's been posted all aver everywhere that Fuller approved of it and that's all well and good. So what's up with MacKensie Alexander also wearing 4? I don't know about the rest of you but I'm not a fan of seeing 2 people wearing the same number as 10 and 7 etc this past year but I certainly have reservations about doing this with No. 4.

he wore 2 Saturday I think Baker is wearing 4 and if he is on the defensive side of the ball I no problem with it. I liked Fuller and had a #4 jersey when I was a kid, I think it is an honor if some one wanted to wear my number.

Why retire a number if someone else can wear it??

Mar 13, 2014, 6:28 PM

I know he asked but still.. It should be a no one wears it again policy. And besides a fresh should not get that number idc what star he was.

Why get bent out of shape over a practice jersey?

Mar 13, 2014, 7:24 PM

I am missing the point. It is just a practice jersey. Alexander is number 2. That was his official number last year even though he wore 4 in practice some.

two sides of the ball. i have no big deal over it. i am 50+

and i say retire the man, not a number. look at the n.y. yankees, they will run out of #'s in a few yrs., no, the people know, they don't need to dispose of the #, let someone else live up to the hype, or try to!

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I didn't realize that was a practice jersey.

Thanks for clearing that up. I'm fine with Watson wearing 4. They apparently got that worked out. I saw the picture with Alexander wearing 4 and wondered what's up. Not sure I've seen a pic of a Clemson player wearing a different practice number than his game number before. I'm straight. I still don't like duplicate numbers on same team. Maybe I'm old fashioned but still don't like it.

no # needs to be retired***
