I know it's not much but he's a great teacher. He done a great job bringing up DW. Qb assist coach he would do just fine.

I wish Streeter got there in time to fix his flaws

No.

Boyd wasn't around with Watson.

He has no coaching experience.

We have an experienced successful QB coach.

Nope. I love the guy, was an almost great quarterback, but something about big games threw him. I'd prefer not having that around our guys. Sorry, I think Taj is a wonderful man and was good for Clemson. But he could never get himself or us over the hump.

Couldn't beat the coots...

But did lead the tigers past LSU and OSU. Those were huge wins.
Go tigers!

True even though he made dumb plays against OSU that could've cost Clemson the win

"was an almost great quarterback"

Record books and top 25 wins disagree with that....

Brad Brownell: more losses than any other coach in school history.

Geez - I won't say anything bad about Boyd right now, but you need to drop this line of thinking. You ain't even close.

Boyd was good for us in his time.

Maybe someday down the road when he's proven himself beyond Clemson he can return as a Jeff Davis type.

As a QB I always considered him an underachiever, and I still believe someone told him before the GT debacle that he was going to be assassinated during the game. The look of fear and uncertainty was visible all night.

Clutch throws against LSU and a gutty performance against OSU saved Boyd's legacy (for me), but I would be shocked if he joined the staff anytime soon.
