have them in the ACC. Yeah, I know we have to deal with Jimbo again. But, he isn't a real threat to Clemson.

Once the SEC tells them, "We know you're not happy about it, but here is EXACTLY what you are going to do."

but their recent comments have been more accepting.
Apparently conference officials have asked them to take a chill pill and calm down. When the vote happens, A&M will be one of two votes against admitting them.
Aggies have no intention whatsoever of leaving the SEC. The move has worked out unbelievably well for them.

Not that ticked off. A&M isn’t leaving the $EC. Too much money to be made. I can promise you $EC officials are bending over backwards and throwing all kinds of promises at them. They’ll hold their nose and deal with the Longhorns. The ACC can’t offer the kind of money that the $EC can.

as much money as the SEC.
However, an ACC with Notre Dame and another couple of big players could possibly be competitive.

NO. Their President stated in news conference that TaM was in SEC and was looking forward to a long relationship with the SEC for fans and students. They would be fools to pitch a temper tantrum and leave. Jimbo Fisher is not about to return to the ACC. He's been there, done that.

I live in Houston area…
I spoke to a friend and diehard Aggie fan and Alum the other day…
I could be wrong but I think his outlook mirrors that of most Aggies…
- Initially furious.. - Calmed down now and looked at it rationally and from a financial stand point - Still furious at UT and eager to meet them on the field to dole out punishment…easier said than done….but this seems to be the prevailing sentiment…go ahead and bring it UT..you can’t win the Big 12 and you sure as he^* won’t win the SEC…aTm is in better shape as a program than they were…we’ll see you on the schedule Longhorns…

No one else wanted him. Mac had already been at UNCheat when he left for Texas as I recall. UNCheat does not expect much from their FB program, so old Mac knew he would be be there for as long as he wanted while he waits for retirement, which is not too far off. The NC ACC schools are all basketball schools. No one in NC hardly talks about college FB. Duke fans and students won't even support their FB team when they are winning.

The truth is most aggies miss the ut rivalry, even though most have small ##### syndrome and liked rubbing it in all other Texas schools faces they are in the big, bad sec, sec, sec...

Any school that lets their football coach make huge decisions like conference affiliation is stupid.

I work with 5 aggies and they are all very much against it. I am quickly growing tired of hearing about it from them to be honest.

I despise the Longhorn program way more than the Aggies.
It will be nice watching Longhorn fans get used to 6-5 seasons and realize things won't ever go back to the way they used to be. Maybe they won't walk around with their noses so high up in the air. I hope the Aggies beat them every year.

So maybe the move wouldn't hurt them as bad financially as is assumed. Could be a big benefit for everyone.

up going to the CFP every year because they would rule the Big 12. Sounds like it would be a smart move on their part.

I think they could, but at the time of the move, they were fighting the preception of Texas being the better choice for in-state players. They were happy to join the SEC to be able to sell recruits on playing LSU/Alabama and sending players to the NFL. Part of why they are so upset is they feel they will no longer have that advantage, although to their benefit, they have moved up the ladder while Texas has slipped some in the meantime.
