So, you're equating COVID with leprosy?

A Biblical Christian understands the meaning of that verse when taken into context.

Yep pretty much

Also very Christian to claim a verse is taken out of context when the bible doesn't say what you want it to say

So, your immune system can help you recover from leprosy?

You quoted from verses 45-46 from the NIV, which is a very loose translation of the original texts.

"with such a defiling disease" IS out of context unless you read the preceding passages.

Here's the verses you mentioned above in more context using a more accurate translation (ESV):
40 “If a man's hair falls out from his head, he is bald; he is clean. 41 And if a man's hair falls out from his forehead, he has baldness of the forehead; he is clean. 42 But if there is on the bald head or the bald forehead a reddish-white diseased area, it is a leprous disease breaking out on his bald head or his bald forehead. 43 Then the priest shall examine him, and if the diseased swelling is reddish-white on his bald head or on his bald forehead, like the appearance of leprous disease in the skin of the body, 44 he is a leprous man, he is unclean. The priest must pronounce him unclean; his disease is on his head.

45 “The leprous person who has the disease shall wear torn clothes and let the hair of his head hang loose, and he shall cover his upper lip and cry out, ‘Unclean, unclean.’ 46 He shall remain unclean as long as he has the disease. He is unclean. He shall live alone. His dwelling shall be outside the camp.

So you're saying that that verse can not be applied to COVID

scripture in its historical context, use, and application. This passage was a clear set of rules to the Israelites as to how to handle those with the disease of leprosy, which led to those folks being described as physically "unclean."

Reading ourselves into scripture is eisegesis, which is what a majority of the Christian church in America does. Some of the eisegesis (like what Steven Furtick preaches) is technically narcigesis (thinking the scripture is about yourself). Both of these are heretical and unbiblical and indicate at the least, a misunderstanding of scripture, or at the worst, not being in a right standing with God.

By the way, the Israelites also put those with unrepented sin outside of the camp as well, as those folks were spiritually "unclean."

It’s interesting that practice of quarantining to manage disease began in the 14th century. The Bible ,however, instructs in the practice of quarantining around 500 BC. When given enough time science eventually catches up to the Bible.
