just catch the football, the game is different. Plus, the group that scored the last TD looked like the wanted to be there. The rest, not so much. Put them all in the portal if you don't want to be here.

You have to blame the man at the top; Uncle Joe ,the man who doesn't know the Clemson Tigers from the LSU Tigers, who thinks Death Valley is where they buried King Tut ,but knows which uSUC school is the real uSuc, but thinks Columbia is a country, not a capital, but is both but he couldn't tell you where either is located. But so much for my political tirade .I would have blamed Trump ,but he lost the election about as bad as we lost to N.C. State and Pitt combined. But back to the top of the page. The only man you can blame is Dabo. It's his program. You can't give him the all the credit for two National Championships, but you can put the blame squarely on his shoulders for not fixing this problem.

I strongly disagree. If Dabo has to take all the blame (as the head guy), he must surely get all the credit for the 2 National Championships. You can't have it both ways. Leadership is key, and he is the leader of the program. I do agree that Dabo is partially to blame for the malaise we are currently experiencing. But only partially. The players and other coaches are also to blame. It's a team sport. What we're missing is the dynamic talent and personality in the quarterback spot. And while it may be time to bench DJ, I don't think we have what's needed on the bench either. But no doubt DJ's confidence would improve dramatically if our receivers would simply catch the ball and the offensive line would simply block somebody. It's as though we've flown into the Bermuda Triangle. Yet I have complete confidence Dabo will lead us out of this darkness and back into the light. Go Tigers!

It's bigger than one play, though that hurt.

There is something fundamentally rotten with Clemson's offense this year.
Maybe that one catahc may have sparked a sudden scoring barage, but I doubt it.

Sure, it's bigger than one play.
Unfortunately, one big catch (let's call that 1 TD) doesn't make up for 3 big drops (let's call that a loss of 3 TDs).
It's going to take the WR's catching 3 out of 4 routine (if not easy) TD passes for the offense to become consistent at scoring points.
One might ask about the run game ... let's just pound it until we score?
Look at the IL vs. Ped State game last Saturday. IL ran for 300+ yards before the OT period, but yet scored only 10 points in regulation. It is darn hard to go 80 yards in 20 running plays to get a TD. If no big runs occur (think of the rare long TD run by Clemson this year ... Kobe Pace's TD run against BC), then TD drives via 4 yards and a cloud of dust per play requires near perfection for 15 to 20 consecutive plays for the TD to occur. No team reliably pulls that off ... big plays (usually via a pass, but occasionally via a run) are needed for big points to be put up by the offense.

maybe the few made plays we hit on and we win 28-21.
Even that is bad. The supposed "talent" we have compared to Pitt is not even close. Western Michigan put up 44 on Pitt. Yes, a few plays here and there may be a different outcome/score, but even if we "click" on all our respective cylinders we're still just not that good.
HOPEFULLY, Dabo can right the ship when the season's over......he's got a lot of hard decisions ahead of him.

Biggest issues with team this year is non elite veteran players in all positions or if they are elite no execution of their job, pretty much dumpster fire some times elite player dont fit system, coaching cant fix it , most top teams keep reloading next man up but this year next man up not buying into culture, sometimes you gotta remember the good times amd struggle through tough times , cheer team good or bad

when a qb struggles making plays catching the ball helps them immensely. We have mostly done the opposite in critical situations. I'm talking relatively easy wide open drops. I dont ever remember as many by us. We look at times like inexperienced dbs trying to catch the ball

Yes, but WHY are all the receivers dropping passes? Did they all just regress to the same degree or is it the one person throwing the ball (even though Taisun didn't have any more success in that regard)? I don't know the answer but surely playing the 2nd or 3rd string QB's isn't going to hurt?

Are you seriously trying to blame the QB for WRs, TEs, and RBs dropping balls that hit them in the hands?
They should be able to catch balls that hit them in the hands if they are thrown by any QB or any other player on the team for that matter.
They should even be able to catch balls that are kicked to them if they are college skill players.
What a ridiculous argument that the same QB is throwing all the balls that are dropped so it must be the QB's fault.
