Clemson has one spot remaining for a tight end in the 2019 recruiting cycle, but Luke Deal isn’t in a hurry to make a decision. The 6-5, 235-pounder out of Greenwood (SC) Emerald grew up a Clemson fan and made several trips to Clemson for games growing up. Two weeks ago, he made the short trip from Greenwood to Clemson for a two-day official visit. Full Story »

From Deal's next to last and last statements, from all the people pushing him to Clemson, he may end up at another place just to show folks it's his choice and he will make his choice on his own. One of those chop your nose off to spite your face kinda things!!! Tight End is a pretty tough position to play, and he better be really tough to play it. TE is one of those positions where you better like contact, bc they get plenty of it at the college level....

His comments say exactly what he said...the staff said 'go visit'...be sure for yourself and compare. My sense is his solid offer awaits his May 25 decision...it's only 6-7 weeks away. He grew up a Clemson fan...that's tough genetics to walk away from.

I love that the coach's tell him to take all the visits he wants to ensure he makes the best decision for himself. That in itself should help Clemson recruiting not just Deal, but anyone.

Yeah I kinda hope a blizzard rolls through there in a couple weeks. I tend to agree with allorange... it seemed like an in your face statement to the people around him that I’m sure he’s getting pressure from. Sounds like had our coaches made the hard push to commit may have pushed him away. Certainly not going to question their tactics. No telling what that cray cray harbell will do.

One thing for sure, he won’t see a nicer place than here.

Well he should have visited Michigan this week and got some mid 20’s and snow in April. I am in MN and we have 6 to 8 on the ground from the storm today. ??
