clear, however, that a lot of guys are going to get significant snaps. Feaster will get his. Cooper and probably Johnson will get theirs. Etienne will get some. Higgins and Rodgers will get theirs. Everybody needs to relax about the depth chart and just enjoy it. We have a ton of talent and the best coaches in the land.

There's any sort of position battle, the senior player wins. Not once have we out recruited a position. Even positions we've been recruiting poorly like RB?

Talent alone does not always win a spot. Incase you didnt notice our boys starting a qb rb and te are pretty dang good.

Are we all watching the same team? We've played a lot of freshmen over the last few years. Ray Ray and Deon Cain played a lot as freshmen. Same for Big Dex, Mitch Hyatt and Christian Wilkins. I trust our coaching staff. They have our program in a great place right now.

The playbook. It doesn't put meat and muscle on your 18 year old bones either. And it sure doesn't substitue for experience.
Now if our current players were sub par and couldn't get the job done, then yes, you trot out a green, inexperienced, scrawny - but talented - freshman. The only time this has happened since the Sammy and CJ Spiller era is with DW. He should have started day 1. And if you recall, it wasn't too long after day 1 that he indeed started.
If there is a freshman who may repeat the DW path, it is Etienne. He may very well be the starter by game 3 (or at least #2). It all depends on if he learns how to pass protect.
Please try to use a little logic before you say something this uninformed.

Dexter Lawrence started ahead of other more experienced DTs last year.
Hyatt started ahead of a number of more experienced OLs the year before.
DW4 was hurt twice his freshman year. Most of these young men are not ready for the physical toll that playing at this level for 50 snaps or 100 snaps a game makes on their bodies. They have talent but their bodies need to catch up. The coaches are looking at a lot of measurements and grades not just talent and speed. Sometimes they are looking at mental maturity. I think our coaching staff really wants the best for our players and hope to win as well, but winning is not the most important thing, getting these young men ready for life after football is the most important thing.

What I hear is that Feaster continues to have problems grasping the playbook.....clearly Feaster's a better natural runner than either Fuller or Choice....hopefully he can put it all together soon.
Another thing to consider: We're not going to show a lot versus Kent St., so I think that has something to do with the starting RB rotation.

IMO, this offense "looks" more like a running team than some of the offenses in the past.
And for ALL of his good blocking/ by the coaches- It seems like Feaster would be a much,
much better option than Fuller.
I mean, just can't see this team avg 275 yds passing per game- which is where Fuller might
be considered the better option; Perhaps. (??)
But like QB, RB battles will continue well into the season.......right.
