remember the last time I turned on ESPN.
Once upon a time it stayed on at my house all day. I'd watch the same sportscenter replay over and over.
Then something happened to the programming that just made it total unbearable crap. I don't even partake of College Gameday anymore, where it once was a Saturday morning staple.

it was the only place for all the highlights. So they could show just the sports and it would be wildly entertaining for people.
Since the advent of social media you can watch highlights almost seconds after they happen in any location in the palm of your hand. That's why they started having more talk shows and different content outside of just highlights. Similar to the news as well.

I've been listening to sports talk shows on the radio, but it has become too PC, WOKE, and Cancel Culture infested. And they are not touching the Cale Gundy story. If they story line was different, I'm guessing that would be a hot story - until he quit or was fired.

I used to enjoy College GameDay until ESPN became the SEC propaganda network.
Yeah, that and the Disney wokeism being spewed. Disney groomed ESPN for all this and now some stockholder(s) want to dump them? Amazing

Perhaps a nice time to split it into a sports journalism company and an actual sports network.
The sports journalism company will get globs of media attention and go out of business in 3-yrs, and the sports network can be ESPN ala early 2000’s.

I wonder if that stockholder also recommended raising the rates for all Disney streaming services, including Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+? Disney had a good year with the theme parks but lost money on those streaming services.
