NET ranking up to 74 after yesterday.

Expect to be mid 60’s if we can win at GT on Tues once midweek games are played. Golden opportunity next Sat also. I wish UL-FSU was a Wed or Thurs game this week instead of Monday so they jhad less time for us. But since we already played once both teams should be familiar with what to expect anyway.

I think the NET rankings are overrated.

Especially you look at a high ranking we had last year, as well as NC State both in the mid 30s, and we both got left out.

Don’t look at RPI either because now it’s not even judged.

I’d look at ESPN’s BPI, Jerry Palm’s Pomeroy rankings, and the Sagarin rankings. We have respectable rankings in all of these. As high as 46 in Sagarin. I think the committee looks at all of these combined as well as the eye test:

We be better than last years with a good finish. In addition to a poor q1/q2 record last year we had no marquee wins. We’ve got 2 already with a chance of a 3rd. Lastly, I was simply pointing out NET as we do know that the lowest NET ranking of any at large last year was 73. So the further we get above that # then it’s potentially 1 more box checked out of several

18 total wins, with FSU being one of them, and you are in. Would be one of the hottest teams in the country if we get to 18.
