Nervous Nancy moment here.

I don't know how you guys feel, but if we beat the spooners, who would you rather NOTface in the championship? Michigan state worries me. I personally think they are going to pound Bama. Tide haven't played a real defense all year. Michigan state has played every type of offense and prevailed. (Nebraska, I know) . Their offense is not a one trick pony like the tide either. They can score with you or methodically pound you. Just wondering what you guys thought.
MSU getting 9 1/2-10 pts is like stealing, btw.

I want to play the preverbial "elephant in the room," Alabama. We've reached a point in our progression as a program we need to shut all these SEC homers down.

My view is Michigan State doesnt stand a chance. Still urks me that they bumped them ahead of Oklahoma in the polls due to media pressure to TRY to ensure an Oklahoma-Bama championship game. That is ALL this was, and everyone knows it. Too bad we are going to spoil their plans.

I'm not nervous about it at all, but I do agree that he Spartans can beat 'Bama if:
* Conner Cook's arm is OK * They run the 'Bama FatBoy D side-to-side on counters, sprint options, read options, swing passes, screen passes, out-routes * Then hit Burbridge on the wheel route and Price on the slant/fly in the seam
Michigan State is a real team that every year gets better as they get deeper into their schedule - good coaching. They play solid D. Earlier in the season they had a lot of injuries, but now have a healthy team. They're very good.
That said, I think we have the talent to beat anybody if we play well with a rested D - and if we don't, then any of the three teams can beat us - so spot the ball and let's see what happens.

I know they matched bama with MSU

Because they were giving them the easiest path to the championship. But I believe MSU can beat them. They're good against the run, and can score points. Shut down the run game and bama has a hard time moving the ball. Anyone at this point will be a tough outing. But I believe the tigers will prevail. GO TIGERS!!!

We have to beat Bama (and the SEC) for the naysayers to acknowledge our NC. Otherwise, it will always be "well, you would have been killed by Alabama."

I don't think we do. If we beat OU and MSU beats 'Bama, then we get a chance to beat the team that beat 'Bama...... if we do..... then end of story..... we're the King of Football.
OTOH, if 'we beat OU and 'Bama beats MSU...... and we beat 'Bama...... we're still the King of Football.
Just win - that's all that's required to be King.

I don't necessarily agree with your statement that Alabama hasn't face a defense all year.

Florida has a pretty stinking good defense. Bad news for Alabama is Michigan St. has a good defense too and a quarter back to give their offense a pulse. This may be the most balanced offense Alabama has faced all year and at least the 2nd best defense that they have faced. Bama's advantage will be talent on the field, but that alone may not be enough to get them a victory.
As for who I would rather face... I like Clemson's chances against both of them. Let's just get there. Go Tigers!
