He’s a leader. Would have been nice to see how this offense would have responded to some leadership.

the “ones”. Maybe some competition for the position would motivate some youngsters to work harder in practice, and it might even reveal some issues to the coaches that by all reports surprised all of them.

He looks a lot better than what we got right now. And he was a Tiger. He was in our system. We’d be better off with CB than with Deerintheheadlites. That’s my take based on what I’ve seen.

I don’t even remember. But maybe. If so, what’s wrong with being optimistic and making an incorrect prediction? (although we did win the game)
Also- my score prediction on a previous game has NOTHING to do with my comment that DJ would be on the field over Brice. That wasn’t even meant as a knock on Brice.
So…someone here needs to “get a clue” and it’s not me.

If Chase Brice was still around we'd probably find out that Dabo and Elliott are joined at the hip to DJ come hell or high water. But then it would be pretty clear too to the Tiger faithful how Dabo won't make the hard choices he started back all those years ago. I said it elsewhere, I'd trade for 2011 Dabo any day as the current Dabo seems to forget how he got to stay to 2021 and it wasn't because we had TL or DW either.
I think CB had better player relationship on the field with his receivers than DJ. And he wasn't afraid to run the #### ball quick if nothing was open down field!

I like CB, great guy & leader, but there is a reason he is now playing for App St. Don’t think we would be any better with him at QB. He has his limitations too

CB might have provided a legitimate 'ready to go' backup QB this season to use when DJ had gotten shaken up.
Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny would have helped me enjoy the holidays more when I was a kid.
But oh darn ... neither scenario happened. We'll ride with DJ and watch him continue to improve during this season's trial by fire.

Dabo made it clear that DJ was going to be the QB when Trevor left. I don't blame Chase, or any other player for leaving. These 4 and 5 star kids are hoping to make it to the next level. The chance of doing that are slim, but they're almost 0 when you sit for 3 or 4 years and then only get 12 games to show what you can do.
The only thing I blame Chase for is wasting a year at Duke. Surely he could of picked a better team.

It would sure have made for some interesting competition in Spring practice. Also, I believe he would have started the two games TL was out in 2020. But I don't question CB for transferring. Even Swinney said he would be playing in the NFL one day. (On that time will tell)
But I'm guessing Swinney/Elliott would still have gone with DJ5, they have been enamored with him all along. (footnote: Streeter doesn't really have a vote)
I personally believe NIL got tooooo much of DJ5's attention/focus pre and current season included.

Clemson, but I think we are really reaching if we think a guy with 29 career TDs vs 24 career interceptions is the answer to our issues this season.

I still wish we had Trevor, Travis, Amari, and many others, but we don't. Wishing doesn't get you anywhere. We have a lot of talent on offense - coaches just have to find out what combinations of personnel and plays will work best to maximize that talent.
