true story:
last weekend i was sipping on some Woodford Reserve with ice. MY wife and kids saw me grimace after each sip. They asked me why i was drinking it and I told them i am trying to be a grown man.
i eventually had to admit to the ghey and mix it with coke.

Maybe try a 50/50 mix with scotch and club soda. That’s what I did when I started drinking scotch. You can gradually decrease the amount of club soda until you are comfortable with scotch and ice. Then you can profess to having it neat (no ice).
You can also try a blended scotch like Johnny Walker and see if you like that. Sometimes those are a bit easier than single malts when starting out.

I didn't cut it with anything. I would take a little, put it in my mouth, then ride my bike as far as I could before getting sick. I could gauge how much of a man I was becoming by how many mailboxes I could pass before stopping. In no time I wasn't getting sick and could actually drink water while chewing. That's when the girls started taking notice.

I absolutely love my bourbon mixed with sweet iced tea and some lemon juice. Or buy some Arnold Palmer half and half. Only way I drink it. Never have tried it with any soft drinks.

Honestly, I don’t care for Scotch. I’ve tried it. I’ve tried lots of it. I’ve been to Scotland and tried it…..I just don’t like it. I do however love Irish Whiskey.
I can absolutely tell you, in Scotland it’s called Whisky. Scots will tell you that only they make Whisky. Not Americans. Not Irish, Not Japanese…only the Scots. I can also tell you, that if you ask to mix it with something, they are likely to say something really insulting and probably funny, but it won’t matter because you probably won’t understand them.
