NCSU and Chris Paul - Covid

What could NCSU have really done? Chris Paul was vaccinated and missed Games 1 & 2 of the Wetern Conference Finals this past week. The requirements were for him to have 2 negative test on back to back days. Which he just played in Game 3 this Thursday, a week later. It was a quiet week which nobody knew anything until right before Game 3 and we still don't know anything but he was allowed to return on Thursday, after a week of not being allowed with the team.
So, how would vaccinated players have helped NCSU? We are talking 32 individuals that would have to pass multiple test on multiple days. How long would that take? Would they let the Texas and Miss St winner wait, for how long? What advantage would that give them? Did State have an option for outsider testing? I would definitely want a second opinion.

I like Paul and not sure how the week off/covid impacted him. Also, Game 3 was a must win home game for the Clippers. That and Lou's history of bouncing back after being down 0 - 2. He has 5 wins as a coach in that situation. The most behind that is 2 wins; Phil Jackson and Rudy Tomjanovich are the list.

People packed in the stands are not getting tested. Covid is basically behind us. But even if it was not, there has never ever been a shred of evidence that you need a mask outdoors. Brett Weinstein and his wife Heather, both PhD‘s in biology, have talked extensively about not needing a mask outside.
So you have people in the stands that aren’t being tested, but players on the field, guys that have been together for months, can’t play a game outside?
This is not science! This is politics. It’s about power and control. There is not one shred of science involved in this! Because the science does not support this. And it never has!
Not only that, I did the math. 80% of the people in America that have died of Covid were 65 years old or older. 80% of the people in America that died from Covid were obese and had diabetes.
Less than 1200 people under the age of 25 have died in America of Covid. Covid does not affect people that are young and healthy. That’s proven science! It’s supported by the data!
And don’t even get me started on the fact that at least 10% of the people that have died from Covid really did not die from Covid. You can die in a car accident or of cancer and if you had Covid they called counted it as a Covid death when Covid had nothing to do with them dying. Also there’s no telling how many people died of Covid because of stupid decisions made by politicians when it came to hospitals and nursing homes. People that died because for the first six months doctors just did nothing and had no idea how to treat Covid when there were doctors that were successfully treating Covid but that was being suppressed. The number of people that died because they were put on a ventilator until doctors realized that was actually killing them.
So a pretty significant percentage of people that died from Covid died because of stupidity and negligence.
The reality is ivermectin has been known to be highly effective at treating and preventing Covid for quite a while. But this is still being censored and suppressed!
YouTube took down the video of Dr. Pierre Kory of the FLCCC which is an extremely respected group that has testified before Congress and changed NIH guidelines on Covid based on their research, but YouTube took down the C-SPAN video a Dr. Kory testifying before Congress. We are American citizens. C-SPAN is paid for by taxpayers to provide us with information about what’s going on in Congress, but YouTube sensors that! That is insane!
YouTube is basically saying you may be an American citizen and this may be an expert doctor and he may be testifying before Congress but you are not allowed to have that information! Folks, we are living in 1984!
Brett Weinstein interviewed on his podcast Dr. Kory and YouTube took it down. YouTube also took down the interview Brett Weinstein made with the doctor that invented the mRNA vaccine!
As a result Brett Weinstein called Joe Rogan and Brett Weinstein and Dr. Kory were on Joe Rogan last week. You can view the Conversation for free on Spotify.
People are dying because of stupidity and politics! People are dying because of censorship! There are a lot of people that are dead, hundreds of thousands of people, that are dead that should be alive today if not for politics! And money!

Unfortunately I fear you are correct! I do think the truth will come out. But the responsible parties will probably never face any real consequences. But make no mistake, this is a conspiracy between the government, international organizations, big tech, big Pharma, and the mainstream media.
You know something has gone terribly wrong in this country when YouTube takes down videos of experts testifying before Congress that was broadcast across America on C-SPAN. I can watch it on Comcast cable, but I can’t watch it on YouTube!
Anyone that doesn’t watch Brett Weinstein and his wife Heather and their podcast is missing out. And they are not Republican or conservative by any stretch of the imagination. They are lifelong Democrats and progressives, but they are first amendment advocates that believe in democracy and free markets and are both scientists that understand that scientists, like journalists, are supposed to be skeptics and put Science and facts/data above politics.
The interview of Dr. Kory on Brett Weinstein‘s podcast was amazing. It’s truly concerning that YouTube took that interview down as well as his interview with the creator of the mRNA vaccine.

I’m starting to have a little more hope than I had not too long ago. The silent majority are finally starting to wake up and fight back. We see it at these county school board meetings over the woke nonsense and BS like CRT!
Loudoun County Virginia is a DC suburb and a pretty blue county. These are not Republicans and conservatives, these are middle-class Democrats that are outraged. When that starts happening you know you were making progress!
If the Democrats ever lose about 15 or 20% of the black vote they are screwed and they know it. Blacks are conservative by nature in their values and beliefs and in these major cities they are fighting for vouchers and school choice for their children. But, they have been getting brainwashed and kept on the plantation and having their votes bought and paid for by the Democrats for generations. There’s so much pressure for them to vote Democrat. But many of them are starting to wake up and realize they are being used and manipulated. Glenn Loury has talked about this extensively with John McWhorter.
The eroding black vote as well as the fact that they have lost what used to be the base of the democratic party, Midwestern blue-collar union voters, has the Democrats and the left panicking! This is why they’re pushing so hard for open borders and giving tens of millions of illegal immigrants a path to citizenship because they are losing their core voters and the only way to replace them is by buying the votes of illegal aliens by giving them citizenship!
You know the side of an argument that knows they are lying because they’re the ones that are always screaming the loudest and slinging epithets!

They controls do not give a darn about the masses, except to be able to maintain a firm grip on their desired control. The NCAA controls the College World Series. The NCAA determines where you get to have regionals and super regionals. Where are you get to play the NCAA basketball tournament.
When they say tournaments can’t be held in North Carolina because of a bathroom law that was voted on by the citizens of the state of North Carolina that was not political?
The NCAA has been proven over and over and over to be political. And they should lose their nonprofit status for getting involved in politics. It’s actually illegal and against the laws for having nonprofit status.
They have no business moving events from one state to another because they don’t want to face cancel culture. Politics should not have anything to do with the NCAA but it has and does!
Only an idiot or someone with their head up their butt or 3 feet in the sand would think the NCAA is not political.

I haven’t read it but I’m sure it’s total BS and not founded in one shred of scientific evidence and not supported by any statistical analysis.
There also has never been one shred of evidence that a mask was ever needed outdoors.
Schools never should’ve been shut down. Lockdowns never should’ve taken place. The data and evidence today support that unequivocally. And many people knew this was BS from the very beginning! Not that Covid is not serious, it is extremely contagious, but it is not anywhere near as fatal as the government and the media brainwashed people to think. Unless you are over 65 or middle-aged with metabolic syndrome, primarily obesity and diabetes, you have very little to fear from Covid. And high school and college age kids are actually at greater risk from the seasonal flu than Covid. That is a scientific fact that is 100% supported by the data.
People are fighting back and winning in the courts. Someone just won a case in Florida because the University of Florida was mandating masks and they were sued and lost. You’re going to see lawsuits against colleges over vaccinations and other ridiculous protocols. It is unconstitutional to mandate an experimental vaccine. That has already been litigated and lost at the supreme court level by military personnel during the Bush 43 administration.
The NFL protocols that were recently released are absolutely absurd and insane as well!
None of this is based in any rationality or supported by science or statistical analysis. It’s all virtue signaling and BS! It’s all about power and control!

Because what they’re going to end up doing is just like the overuse of antibiotics create stronger strains of the virus that are going to be more deadly. Mini eminent scientists are saying that. They are concerned these vaccines are going to do more harm than good. Again, it’s called science!

This thread is about Covid and what happened at the College World Series and the vaccine that you think is so great. Four of the NC State players that tested positive for Covid were vaccinated!

You clearly don’t understand how scientists and academic researchers get their funding. Almost all of it comes from the government. And if you don’t say what the government wants you you will lose your funding. If you don’t say what the Democrats and the mainstream media want you can lose your career as a professor or scientist.
The people with the courage to speak out against these far left anti-science propaganda beliefs like woke culture, CRT, man-made climate change, Covid, etc. Have talked about how many emails and text messages they get daily and how frequently they are approached in person by fellow scientists and academics that are tired of the craziness and they don’t believe the BS either, but they don’t have the courage to speak out. They are scared of losing their careers and their funding.
And FYI my primary care physician is not my mate! He’s 15 years younger than me and I did not know him until I was referred to him by another doctor. It was a coincidence that he graduated from Clemson. Nor have I had any communication or interaction with him outside of his office. He is my doctor. Not my mate!
And I love how you dismiss Joe Rogan. Again, are you paid $100 million for your opinions? He is! Have you ever posted anything on the Internet that got millions and millions of views? He does on a weekly basis. His podcast has more viewers per day than MSNBC and CNN combined!
He interviews top scientists and academics from across America and the world. I don’t think Joe Rogan is especially intelligent, but he is incredibly intellectually curious and has a huge platform and is one of the most influential people in the world because of that platform and the people that he interviews! Those people are incredibly intelligent and know what they’re talking about and those are the people that help influence my opinions and beliefs. Opinions and beliefs based in science and data!
And it’s not just Joe Rogan that I watch. I have read books by and watched on YouTube dozens if not 100 plus academic presentations by Jonathan Haidt, John McWhorter, Thomas Sowell, Jordan Peterson, James Lindsay, Peter Bogosian, Sam Harris, John Loury, Brett and Heather Weinstein, Eric Weinstein, and many other well respected and well-known academics. Most of these people are lifelong Democrats and progressives. These are not right wing radical Trump supporters by any stretch of the imagination! Several of them are black. So my opinions are formulated by a very diverse group of people most of which do not share my conservative and libertarian views. But they still have a heavy influence on what I think and what I believe. Unlike you I don’t live in a bubble. I have not been brainwashed by groupthink and confirmation bias!
So again you have proven that you are an irrational emotional ignorant person, not an independent nor critical thinker. You are a victim of groupthink and brainwashing and an embarrassment to the concept of higher education and the university that I hold so near and dear to my heart, Clemson!

For starters this is on the baseball board not the football one. The original post was baseball related as well as related to COVID so it is not a stretch for the conversation to morph.
I have been fully vaccinated for as long as I could have been. I was vaccinated the first day my group was eligible and intentionally got the Phizer vaccine because the second shot was a week sooner than the Moderna. I believe that anyone that has not had the virus, nor has an underlying condition that would make the decision questionable, should get the vaccination. However, I also know that it is not my place to make a decision for them.
As at least one person pointed out, none of the vaccines have full FDA approval at this time. There are reasons to be skeptical of the vaccines, even if I personally don't find them sufficient to forego them. It should be the decision of each individual and their situation. This is especially true of young individuals that who are unlikely to die or have long term effects from the virus. We are not wanting them to be vaccinated for themselves, but for us. I hope that most will get vaccinated, but I view it as an altruistic step on their part.
As an aside, since you mentioned health care, I might be for socializing health care if anyone ever comes up with a plan to do so. To date, the only thing that people have tried to do is socialize insurance which is crazy. Socializing health care would eliminate insurance, as well as law suits, eliminate hospital profits, and cut the salaries of health care workers by close to a factor of 10. Figure out how to convince insurance providers, lawyers, hospitals, and doctors to give up their huge profits before you complain about capitalistic health care. Socializing insurance does nothing to change capitalistic health care, and most proposals simply intensely regulate insurance rather than socializing it.

By the way, the reason we have the amazing medicine we have today which is light years ahead of where we were 100 years ago, is because of capitalism. It’s because of taxpayer money funneled into universities and other research groups by way of the department of defense a.k.a. military research and development.
Antibiotics, the microwave oven, smart phones, modern computers, flatscreen TVs, the Internet, all social media, big tech, big Pharma, CT scans, MRIs, GPS, literally the entire modern economy and nearly every modern convenience we enjoy and take for granted is either directly or indirectly a result of American taxpayer dollars spent on military R&D.
Look at how much the world has evolved scientifically since the late 1930s. that is when the federal government started putting huge amounts of money into military research and development. There was a Manhattan like project created to develop antibiotics because the American government realized that most deaths during the Civil War and World War I did not come from wounds or injuries gotten in battle, but by infection! This other Manhattan project is not taught in public schools, but it was just as important as the Manhattan project and it was the beginning of what we now know as modern medicine.
There are few if any major scientific or technological breakthroughs and advances that have ever happened in a socialist or communist country. Take away capitalism and you take away advancements in science technology and all other fields. It is the incentives of capitalism and democracy that push man forward!
The Soviet Union and other countries only got the atomic bomb because of spies that gave them that technology from America’s Manhattan project. Russia only had a space program that it used for propaganda purposes because of the German scientists following World War II. Yes, we had mini German scientist also. But we had a space program before that was very capable scientist. In fact, the British developed the jet engine before the Germans. Western democracies didn’t need scientist from Germany to create the foundation of our science and technology. But communist and socialist societies do because they do not produce scientific and technological advancement.
If you doubt that capitalism and democracy are the true drivers of innovation all you have to do is go look up the history of patents. You can find it online and it shows the total number of patents by every country in the world. Socialist and communist countries and countries like in the Middle East that are authoritarian or at the very bottom of the list. America is by far number one, more than everyone else combined, followed by Japan and the UK.
It was western culture, European culture, that created the renaissance and the enlightenment! It’s European culture that created modern science and technology. And despite white people on the left and the mainstream media what have you believe, European culture is not white culture. People in Italy and Greece and Spain would be highly insulted by that! They may be Caucasian, but they are not white!
Anyone that thinks we are not being lied to and manipulated needs to go to Spotify, which is free, and watch the Joe Rogan episode this past week with Dr. Pierre Kory and Brett Weinstein about ivermectin and other treatments of Covid and how we are being lied to and manipulated because of money, power, and control!
This is 100% about money! There are two drugs that have been given authorization by way of the FDA and CDC for treatment of Covid. Both are IV medication‘s that are extremely expensive and they were granted emergency authorization use despite very little scientific evidence and research, certainly not any large peer reviewed studies. Yet ivermectin is not which has been used safely for 40 years and is FDA approved and sold over the counter in many parts of the world. Ivermectin, which has overwhelming evidence of its efficacy preventing and curing Covid, is seen as verboten and taboo to even discuss without being taken down by YouTube.
So anyone open minded, a critical thinker, and skeptical of the government, which everyone should be, God knows we have more than enough proof the government lies on the regular, needs to ask themselves, why is a drug that has been FDA approved for 40 years and is extremely safe being shut down at every turn while other drugs that have little scientific data and evidence are being promoted and approved by way of emergency authorization.
Why are those drugs being approved and ivermectin is not? Is it a coincidence that those drugs cost $3000 per injection whereas ivermectin can be made dirt cheap anywhere in the world because it’s no longer under patent?
By the way, many countries are now starting to use ivermectin and the UK government and oxford university are starting a clinical trial. . Although yes I will be skeptical if it fails because it is very easy to manipulate a large study. It is very easy to sabotage big studies. If you don’t use the dosage that the FLCCC is promoting based on bodyweight and if you don’t use it with food because of the fact that it’s fat soluble then you very easily could get different results. These things are critical to how studies are conducted. That’s why Brett Weinstein has said dozens of small studies that all come to the same conclusion is far more evidence of the efficacy of ivermectin than a single large study.
And I do question when there is a scientific consensus. Because scientific consensus has been proven to be wrong over and over and over again! First of all, there is no such thing as settled science. No legitimate scientist would ever use those words. Carl Sagan once said science is the art of getting it less and less wrong over time. So-called scientific consensus gets proven wrong every day. In fact, scientists are starting to question Darwin!
And again, over the last 20 to 30 years we know for a fact that tons of legitimate scientists have left universities and government research institutions because their funding was stripped by the Clinton administration and the Obama administration. Why? because they weren’t willing to say what the politicians wanted them to say. If you don’t toe the line you will lose your funding.
The academics that I have mentioned numerous times all discuss the daily text messages and emails from fellow academics and scientist that are saying thank you for speaking out against the nonsense. They don’t agree either. The majority of scientists and academics don’t believe this BS. But they are too scared to speak out because they see what happens when you do. Most end up losing their jobs losing their careers and losing their funding.
Jonathan Haidt has talked about how many universities have signs posted encouraging students to report professors if they say anything a student finds harmful or offensive.
Keep in mind these are the same college campuses and the same students that now have to have emotional and psychological counseling anytime someone speaks on campus that has an opinion that the students don’t agree with. These aren’t students that actually went and saw the person speak. Just the mere fact that that person steps foot on campus harms the students so much that these universities are providing counselors and therapist to help the students that have been harmed by these peoples miere existence! These are the students that universities are telling report a professor that says something they perceive as offensive or harmful.
Given this environment and the cancel culture is it any wonder that people that disagree would dare speak out when their career and their funding is on the line? Especially if they are middle-aged or older and might be nearing retirement and in fear of losing their pension?
This is not how science and academia is supposed to work. And it’s not how science and academia worked 20 years ago. But sadly this is the world we live in today!

Had they been vaccinated then no one on the team would have ever been tested…they made their choice…all choices have consequences…I would hate to be them and have that on me but again … all choices have consequences!!!

You just showed your ignorance. Six players tested positive. Four of them were vaccinated! Getting the vaccine does not prevent you from getting Covid. It’s an experimental vaccination that you are not required constitutionally to take. NC State is not going to require their students or athletes to get vaccinated. I wish Clemson was that enlightened!

Two out of 6 players were unvaccinated but we do not know if they have had the virus. Regardless of what you would decide in their situation, if you do not think that there are legitimate concerns of the vaccines, especially by ones that have been infected previously,then you are just plain ignorant.

Not only that anyone that has taken the time to do the slightest bit of research would know that there are a lot of false positives and the way the PCR test works a large percentage of people that actually show up positive do not in fact have Covid. They simply had a tiny speck of antiviral in their system which means they were exposed to Covid. It doesn’t mean they actually have Covid.
The ignorance surrounding the PCR test is astounding! The doctor that created the PCR test for HIV/AIDS and won a Nobel prize for medicine has actually said he does not think the PCR test should be used for Covid because he understands the inherent flaws of The PCR test in regards to Covid.
These people on the far left, these emotional little Karen’s, yes these people brainwashed by the Democrats and the mainstream media, don’t have the slightest bit of critical thinking and haven’t done 1 ounce of actual independent research. They just drink the Kool-Aid and go about their merry way!
