NBC wastes no time going after Dr. Oz.

Just last night I hear that He's running for senate in PA ... as a REPUBLICAN. Believes in limited goernment and free market solutions, sensible immigration whereby people wait their turn to enter legally, supports law enforcement, credits Trump with getting the vaccine out so quickly, and thinks America is a great country.
First thing this morning NBC runs a short piece highlighting how he is being "trailed by some questions about advice he has given on his show" and how he's come under fire as "fewer than half of the recommendations made on his show were supported by evidence" and how in 2015 a group of doctors called for his termination from Columbia University's medical school. They also made sure to point out his affiliation with Donald Trump. It wasn't lies, but it wasn't a fair and balanced portrayal of who and what Oz is all about, either. The message was clear: He's a popular TV doctor who has a very controversial, perhaps somewhat shady history.

And has been a quack for a while. It has nothing to do with politics. Dr. Oz is a con artist and had to admit under oath some of his dishonest and shady practices.
Really... you're a Dr. Oz defender now? I think we could slap an R beside O.J. Simpson's name and some of y'all would defend him.
EDIT: In your post, you literally point out how they stated the truth but apparently it bothers you that they stated the truth about him.

Dr. Oz very well may be a quack, I know very little about the man. But I took the post to be about NBC attacking Oz now that he is running as a candidate with an R beside his name.

Oz got hammered in the media long before he ever flirted with politics. So it ain't political.
EDIT: Let me make sure I'm crystal clear on what y'all and the OP are saying: Dr. Oz, a known fraud and quack who has been subject to media criticism long before ever entering politics, should now not be criticized and scrutinized when running for public office because he is running as a Republican and it's not fair?

You said that the OP was defending Dr. Oz, I said that he was criticizing the media. Two totally different things. I'm not disagreeing with you that Oz has been criticized before, but that makes no difference in regards to the intent of the original post.

As you said, you aren't defending Oz, so apologies for the misrepresentation of your OP.
That being said, your criticism isn't really a valid one. He can and should be held accountable by the media for previous questionable behavior. You even admit in your OP that what they said was factual. There's no problem here. If he wants to run for public office, he should be scrutinized for his behavior. This isn't bias; it's SOP.
NBC did their job.
