It's not a good geographic mix. 14 hours away is just too far north to be considered an Atlantic Coast school.

the conference should have been cut off at the Virginia state line. Would much rather have Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas, Florida folks coming to Tiger town than a yankee. One reason being, they visit and then want to move here and ruin what makes the state great. Every time I think of a yankee, I think of folks like Jim Boeheim.
Eliminate B.C. , Syracuse, Louisville, and Pitt then add TCU, Texas Tech, UCF

Wouldn't mind swapping BC and Syracuse for UNC and Georgia Tech from the Coastal. Still would play them occasionally just not yearly. Always thought aligning the divisions more along the old Big East and old ACC or directional North-South would be way more interesting rivalry wise.

Boston College is about 20 minutes from the Atlantic Coast. We are about 3 hours. Not sure what you are imposing.

Let me guess, we're going to assume the people who are "Yankees" are rude? I was born in the South, raised in the South, and currently live in the South. The other night, as I was leaving the stadium after the BC game, I was about to get on the bus with a friend of mine and go back to my car. A gentleman and his wife, dressed in head to toe BC gear stopped us and asked, "We parked at Tillman Hall, this is our first time coming to Clemson, could you help us get back to our car?" I realized to someone who doesn't know Clemson's campus, it is quite intimidating, so I said, "Sure, follow me, but would you mind giving me and my friend a ride back to my car?" He agreed and the four of us went. I talked to them for nearly 2 hours between the car ride and the walk. They were from Boston, but had always wanted to see a night game here and they were NOT disappointed. They said our stadium was louder than ND's and nicer than quite a few they had been to. The couple was kind and even invited me to their tailgate should I make the trek to Boston when Clemson plays there. They are huge supporters of their program, love their team, and it was a pleasure to meet them. They told me that when they played Mizzou last week, the SEC fans had went all out, calling them a nobody and even saying they didn't want the game to happen, to "not waste the trip", well BC beat Mizzou. My point, we have more in common with those "yankees" than you would think. Not to mention, when we play Georgia, we have a tendency to get barked at by their obnoxious fans and spit on. I'll take a great conversation with great people over being barked at any day. There was no trash talk, none of the usual obnoxiousness that comes with playing SEC programs or other trashy programs.
