If the ACC were to expand

Sep 19, 2017, 7:55 AM

Where would you like to see them go. My personal opinion would be to enter into Tennessee or Alabama. Vanderbilt would be a nice option.

Vandy actually isn't a terrible idea...

Great academics, good at basketball and baseball. And can certainly make improvements in football being in a stronger conference.

However, I think the southeast is played out for ACC teams. Notre Dame and WVU are the next 2 options. Maybe UConn, but I hope not.

Edit: what I would LIKE them to do... get rid of Wake, Syracuse, BC and Virginia and add Notre Dame, WVU or Marshall, Memphis or Vandy and Cincinnati.

You'd get ride of Wake and Virginia? Two of the smartest schools in the ACC. Not to mention UVA may have the best overall athletic department in the ACC even with a below average football program. Better be thankful people like you don't get to make real decisions.

Acc already has sleezy luisville. . Why bring their twin sister wvu***

Geville Tiger on Clemson football , "Dabo's only problem is he has to deal with turd fans questioning every move he makes.”

Re: We can't get rid of Wake. They were about the only

friend we had when we were facing sanctions back in the Danny Ford days. People forget that.

Screw Calford.

I hate to say it, but CLEMSON needs to be in the SEC, where our priorities are more in line with that conference. Large venues, football is king, etc.

That said - the SEC would never invite CLEMSON, as they do not want to dethrone Bama as their king. Bama would not get to play in the playoff each year if they do invite CLEMSON and we change to their conference. There would be wailing and gnashing of teeth in Alabama (and Paul would cry tears of crimson).

Nah we are turning the ACC into the football power

Sep 19, 2017, 8:06 AM

Going into the SEC would forever make it a 2 team race between us and Bama.

Wouldn't it be nice to play in the east every year? Cake walk into the playoffs

I know a lot of people on tnet are big on wvu. From personal experience I hope not. The student section makes coots look civilized, even worse than md. They throw batteries at the opposing teams players.

Parking and traffic are terrible. From some of the lots you have to wait in line for the personal rapid transit.

They'd probably be good competition for UL.

Those posters who want to see Wake and UVA. leave have no appreciation of their legacy to the ACC. By all means ask BC to return to the AAC where they belong. Syracuse gives Pitt a natural rival and is decent in BB. Now to the matter of expansion.

Specifically make matters attractive enough for ND to join fully by a certain date, if not ask them to depart. Secondly invite Usuck to take a hard look at the SEC vs. ACC in the long term and again determine how to proceed.

West Va. makes athletic sense, but not academic or fan sense. Otherwise no UConn! Penn St. is not leaving their conference due to Hockey. This leaves few options worth taking. Until the Big 12 dies due to television issues the rest of college football is on hold. Ideally bring Usuck, WVa. and ND in and ask BC to depart. There are the sixteen members.

Go Tigers!

I would love to lure Norte Dame into being a full time member and adding either Penn St or Memphis.

I say get rid of loserville and bring in East Carolina. I know that they might be a smaller school but they have given larger schools a hard time. In a couple of years they might be decent game for us.
