My thoughts on the baseball game last night

First of all and most important, there was an elderly lady down at the left field entrance before the game. I hope she is OK.
Secondly, none of you baseball geniuses have pointed out the missed opportunities during the middle innings. Had we capitalized on our opportunities we would have won regardless of the relievers break down. They simply served up too many fat pitches.
And lastly, Jack made the proper baseball decision in bringing in Matt Campbell. He just had an off night.
And lastly again, Va has a very good hitting team, built for power.

He just made a bad decision in when to take him out.

When you have a 3-run lead, you should not give up 3 runs.

reached. The second reached on a lucky bloop....Sounds like you are doing the old 20-20 hindsite deal. I could argue however that perhaps he should have brought the lefty in sooner to replace schell after the double got em to 5-4 but even there they tie it on a seeing eye 33 hopper.....Baseball Gods just had it in for us....

Matt Campbell is not Matt Price. He is not a two or three inning closer. Let Schnell and Erwin get us through the eighth and bring Campbell in for the ninth.
