hires outside. He could, and that would be fine, but it would shock me.
Dabo plans for his assistants to move on to other jobs. Part of what he has built is to raise up the next guy. There is always a plan. This is not the same as firing Kevin Steele or Billy Napier. This is similar to Morris leaving for a HC'ing job.
Our defensive coaches have watched BV and learned, and if Dabo like the style and scheme, I think he will promote. Remember, he was promoted from WR coach, as was Jeff Scott and Elliott.
I will be shocked if this is an outside hire.

I honestly hope it is an outside hire though. If we lose both OC and DC, I would like at least one to be outside. But it’s not up to me and I trust Dabo

Just because they watched and learned from BV doesn’t mean they’ll be able to make the right calls and adjustments when the bullets start flying. Reminds me of an old Ted Williams story when he was the rangers manager. He was yelling at players asking them “Why can’t you hit? Didn’t you read my book?” And one responded “I can read a book on medicine, but it doesn’t make me a #### doctor”. It’s a huge gamble going with an unproven position coach.

Is Mickey Conn with be named Defensive Coordinator. If Elliott leaves Streeter and Spiller will be named co-offensive coordinators. Dabo will bring in a new LB coach and TE coach.
