My psychic prediction for the final top 10...

Oct 29, 2014, 10:40 AM

I'm a certified gifted psychic, and after gazing into my crystal ball (and making general win/loss predictions on the rest of the season) I predict that the final playoff rankings will present the top 10 as follows:

1. FSU (12-0)
2. Alabama (12-1)
3. Oregon (12-1)
4. TCU (11-1)
5. Michigan St. (12-1)
6. Miss. State (11-1)
7. Notre Dame (11-1)
8. UGA (11-2)
9. Ole Miss (10-2)
10. Nebraska (11-2)

Clemson will be somewhere between 11 - 15 with a 10-2 record.

Nebraska plays the easiest schedule in the country. Clemson should be ahead of them.

I agree that Clemson SHOULD be ranked ahead of Nebraska,

Oct 29, 2014, 10:51 AM

however, I think we get hosed in the final rankings. I believe that the committee doesn't consider who you lost to, but only who you beat. And while Clemson may have a more difficult schedule, we'll have no wins over a ranked opponent either, & that one extra regular season win is going to give Nebraska the bump.

Michigan State fans are going to be PISSED!***

Why would Nebraska be 11-2?

Oct 29, 2014, 10:56 AM

There are only 12 regular season games. And if you are counting on them beating Michigan State in the Big 10 title game, you didn't include that, because you have mich st with one loss (Oregon).

Or Georgia? You have Bama at 12-1, so you don't have Georgia beating them in the SEC title game. You do know the SEC and Big 10 also play 12 regular season games, correct?

I have Georgia losing to Bama in the SEC title game

I have Nebraska losing to Michigan State in the Big 10 title game (11 reg season wins & 1 loss + the loss in the title game... same with UGA...). Math is tough.

I think your crystal ball may need an overhaul after Louisville beats FSU tomorrow night. I really think there is a strong chance that will happen. Then if BC, UVa or Miami can sneak up on the Noles, we just might win the ACCCG and make it into the Top 10. Long shot, but possible.

Conference Championship games are not the regular season, but fair enough.

games will still be factored in going into the playoffs.

Missouri has a good change to win the East (back-to-back)***
