Saw the NCAA is looking at transfer rules

Feb 15, 2019, 10:31 AM

Good to hear, not a fan of the “free agency” era college ball.

Wouldn't mind seeing the NCAA transfer itself out of CFB .

I think the rule should be that a student athlete has to at least transfer to a different conference. If they do, then I'm in favor of immediate eligibility. But, if they transfer within the same conference, then sit out one year.

I like the new transfer rule. It gives the players some

flexibility, not on the level that millionaire coaches have, but it does give them some recourse.

My guess is more open rules

Based on their reaction so far to the attempts to "unionize" CFB.

Just my hunch.

Which would be better for Clemson.

Given how much fun our players and team seem to have relative to Alabama and others and how much they all love our coaching staff and people, I would imagine there would be a long line of players wanting to come to Clemson.

Dabo wouldn’t take them most likely bc we don’t recruit JUCO players; why would we begin accepting a bunch of transfers into the program?

Doubtful many guys will transfer into Clemson. More likely to leave early because of the talent available on the Tiger teams. This rule will hurt Clemson more than help. Stockpiling of talent will be more difficult with this rule. Our coaches seem to be one of the few in college football who go deep into the lineup during games. This is one of the big posatives of Clemson Football. I think.
