If I'm not mistaken Buckner, Played in the 1990 Gator Bowl for the Tigers in Jax. Was he not a Freshman when Clemson showed West Virginia "What a MAJOR disappointment their All-American QB Harris was.......??

That was Chester McGlockton, in the 89 Gator Bowl.

Buckner's freshman year was in 1990 and we played Illinois in the Hall of Fame Bowl. Won 30-0.

I remember that game. Sideline reporter stood beside an Illinois coach who was on an old bagphone talking to someone about a recruit. The sideline reporter told the audience how recruiting never stops, then said "Let's listen in." The coach asked "you got anything for me? " He then repeated the response, "yeah, try to score!"

Was at a pep rally for the 1991/2 Citrus Bowl when he grabbed the mic and led the audience in chanting "If you ain't from Clemson, you ain't SH*T!"

There were lots and LOTS of awkward stares at that pep rally.

My favorite Buck comment to either usuck fans or maybe even players that joining the sec didn't make them better, and they would still get their arses kicked whether they were in the sec or not... but of course, his vernacular was much more colorful than that... LOL
