My expert take on tonights game.

Sep 17, 2015, 11:06 PM

I am an expert because I have been cyber coaching for 20 years.

Anyway, we dominated the game, but were never able to seal the deal. Reminds me of the semenhole game last year. Watson had an off game, but no matter how extensive the hype was he is still a sophmore who who due to injuries did not play a lot last year.

The O line had was about 50 50. Some good some bad plenty of film to study this week. Gallman was GREAT!!!!

The D looked good great actually ahead of where we were last year at this point in the season. The Cards scores came from big plays when we loaded the box and manned up on the secondary, How many 1st down did the birds have? Really impressed with the D which was supposed to be our weak link.

Louisvulle probably played their best game of the year tonight and we escaped with a win. Make this a home game and I think we win big.

I am glad but we won, but there is some work to be done Specifically special teams and a the O-line. The line doesn't worry much because we are young and will get better with experience. Special teams there is no excuse.

The birds do not suck regardless of their schedule and we took their best shot. We should be ok, but our special teams have to improve.

The win should be credited to our D and Gallman great game for both!!!!

I agree with your assessment of the game. At the core, our offense was off tonight. The Tigers were flat at the start and took too long to warm up, which gave their defense a chance to gain some confidence. Too many dropped calls by the Tigers, jitters?

Our aggressive defense was dialed back a notch or two by the refs. The refs were blind to unnecessary roughness and face masks by black shirts but too strict on white shirts which caused a shift in dynamics. When Louisville took the lead there was practically a sigh of relief in the announcer booth. ESPN got their money's worth tonight, but I wonder how much it cost them to pay off the refs.

Also with the injuries and being at our house I think we whip the Irish. This game had me more worried than the ND game.

Go Tigers.

I agree That this was the game I was most worrisome until we get to see GaT. I never really expect Ed us to be undefeated this season, but I am a bit concerned right now.
