My boss pissed me off today.

He's on a 10 day vacation but decided to email me before lunch with irrelevant questions that has already been taken care of. So I decided to turn my hour lunch into 2 hours and have some drinks. Stopped by the house and put 6 beers in a 6 pack cooler. Consumed those sitting at my desk and feel better knowing I got the best of him today. He's a typical Steelers fan and I hope he retires soon.

Only worked 2 Saturdays in the 16 years I've been here. That and my 15 minute commute is the only reason I stay here. It would be a cold day in hell before I work a Saturday during football season.

Put a dead fish (from Spud) in one of desk drawers. It will be ripe by Monday.

I'd rather put rotten pork. He tasked our Office Manager with sourcing a caterer for a lunch back in April. She was going to use one of the most reputable BBQ caterers in this area (Buttermilk's out of Chester), they also gave the best pricing. This yankee SOB told her..."I don't like BBQ"
Now that I think of it I'm calling in Monday.

It's always good to take a one week vacation so the company will learn they can't function without you. Any more than that, and they'll learn they don't need you. You had the chance to show your boss's boss you can do his job better than him while he was away and you decided to pi$$ that opportunity away this afternoon.

older gent who was so convinced the company couldn't run without him that he went into deep depression when he retired and found out that, in fact, the company kept going.
I don't think it ever pays to get that invested in the company. Remember that, Jack.

I would guess you don't care about your job. Loyalty counts, regardless!

Loyalty now days means getting taken advantage of. Loyalty now days means newbies read their phones while you work your ### off. Because no manager wants to report in why they have a high turnover rate. Easier to keep the dinosaurs than firing the useless.
