My biggest takeaway from Saturday was Chase...

Oct 22, 2018, 4:26 PM

He looked as efficient as tlaw in a much smaller sample size. There really is very little drop off from our 1s to 2s at all positions

I also was impressed with Chase. Glad he is a Tiger.

Early in the season, when player interviews were taking place on the practice field, you could sometimes see the QBs working in the background.
Trevor and Chase were interacting constantly. Chase seemed looser, free to follow. Third string will do that. Trevor's body language said he was trying to communicate his attention to detail to Streeter. KB seemed aloof, talking to Streeter sometimes, running RPO drills (in other words, keeper drills), rarely interacting with the younger guys.

By the end of the regular season, KB would have been 3rd string. I think he knew that.

on about his 4th or 5th play looked more like Sunday than Saturday

Would definitely like to see him get more playing time when the game situation permits. He's been impressive his last two outings.

Admire him for cheerfully waiting his turn. I think he must truly enjoy being a Clemson Tiger. He seems confident and qualified!

We are fortunate to have two true freshman qbs who play like seniors.

Did DaBO lie when he said:

Clemson can win with either of our QB’s.

We won a lot with KB2 right up to the semi-Natty game..

and now!

backfield better than our other QB's, and he's shown a quickness with his feet which at QB in our offense is better than pure speed. Dude obviously handles pressure well and hasn't shown a tendency to try and be a hero at the position, which can be a game killer.

I agree with some earlier sentiments that we are likely better off with just TL and CB at this point than with the 3 in the mix where we started.

I still see opportunities for us to engage Brice earlier in games akin to how we manage most other skill positions. Hoping to see a little mix-a-roo every now and then as we ride out the rest of the regular season.

Go Tigers! Everyone! All the time!
