Hall played 3 minutes. He will be good next year.

It's a shame we couldn't get more out of him. He only got worse as this season went on.

He needed more playing time to work threw it but didn't get it***

As I watched last night. And as I watched a number of other games throughout the season. The BIG difference between the successful or ‘good’ teams and us is we RARELY see/saw one of our guys be ‘that guy’. Like Boeheim lighting up SDSU for 16 straight points with some great 3’s; Hamlet(sp?) from N Texas with an unstoppable runner when EVER they needed a score - and a slew of other players from teams still in the NCAAT.

I just don’t think our Tigers have ‘that guy’.

And sadly, I do not see him in the list you’ve mentioned.

Oh well, when is the Spring Game?

Whatever choice(s) you make makes you. Choose wisely.

Yes, it's lack of top talent.

Other teams have an NBA player on their roster and we don't.

42nd out 300+ D1 teams. Preceded by a top 20 class. This isn't CFB.

Newman might have some lingering knee issue but he looked great at times last year. He contributed to the win at UNC. He needed more time to get untracked, like Hall

My biggest issue with BB is development of an inside game

Mar 20, 2021, 8:18 PM

First we play our best player (a natural 3) underneath as a 5. Hurting the team and our best player.
Then, we have 1 big man for next year. Played very little, developed very little (actually digressed).
Clemson got hammered by teams with an inside game and big men that could slow Sims. We had no answer.
BB refused to play Hall and Sims at the same time.
So, who can we count on inside next year?
What big man wants to come and develop when BB won’t design an inside game?
He got a couple of big men, then did nothing with them. And then what? They left due to no playing time or post game.
He sticks with all guard game plan. Works for Non power 5, but not for the big guys.

Thought Newman3 would have a breakout year. Liked his game last season. One of the few who will drive the lane for jumpers, layups or passes to open players. Don't know if he was injured early or had covid, some other illness, but appears the latter part of the season got in CBB's dog house and played very little the last six or seven games. If he's been injury free recently, he may be a candidate for the portal. Would be interested to learn the definite situation.
