Music Trivia….no cheating

After the group broke up in early 1970, which Beatle had the first #1 album?

All Things Must Pass, Harrison.***

Just a guess but I’m gonna say… that guitar player one.

George, maybe. Or was it Stuart Sutcliffe?

Without looking it up, I'd guess Harrison.

I know he was the first of the four to have a #1 single with My Sweet Lord.

I'd guess McCartney with Ram.***

I'll go with harrison, He said he had enough unrecorded material to make 10 albums, or something like that...

Harrison is correct, All Things Must Pass

Apr 27, 2022, 12:15 PM

With My Sweet Lord came out 3 months after band broke up.

On 10 February 1971, Bright Tunes Music Corporation filed suit against Harrison and associated organisations (including Harrisongs, Apple Records and BMI), alleging copyright infringement of the late Ronnie Mack's song "He's So Fine".

In the end, Harrison was found guilty of “subconscious plagiarism” and had to pay $1,599,987 of the earnings from “My Sweet Lord” to Bright Tunes (songwriter Ronnie Mack had died in 1963, shortly after “He's So Fine” charted).

There was a funny line I think in that recent documentary, or maybe an older one.

Paul is criticizing George over how George is playing something, and he says to Paul "You know what? Outside of the band I've been playing with some really, really, good musicians. And you're just not that good."

I would have thought it was too good to be

ranked #1 commercially.

A conversation I heard between two young girls in the late 80's or early 90's...right after Say, Say, Say came out.

"Yeah, that was Paul McCartney singing in this some too. Can you believe it?"

"No way!"

"Yep. It was when he was with Wings."

"Wait a minute. Paul McCartney was in a band?"
