Dogs started chasing something in the pine straw that I figured was a skink. My female crunched the skull of the biggest fuggin' skink I've ever seen last week--thing was almost a foot long and as big around as a banana. This time, it was the red bellied watersnek that's frequented my yard for the past 2-3 years, first time seeing him this year. Might be the last, too, because Annabelle grabbed him and flung him a good 4-5 feet before I could get over there. This fella has always been surly af, too. He bows up and flattens his head like a viper, and strikes if you get anywhere close.

But, nonvenomous, so keep on snekkin'. I worry about my dumbass dog tryna do that with a copperhead though, so I may have to tweak my current relocation program.

If you look closely, you can see the puncture wound near the tail of this kid. Maybe he's cured of my yard now.

driving them out of town. Snakes have a range of +/- two miles and will return to your yard from 'down the street' if your yard is a recognized food source. I also suggest playing this song on the car stereo to keep snakes calm during the ride...
