2017 -- 42-21 ___host Regional
2018 -- 38-13 and counting ________________***
Just reading all the comments on the ""Lee wins number 400"" thread and got to thinking -- at 41 years young,seems he has accomplished a lot and got the Tiger Baseball program headed back in the direction,we all wanted??? ( remember ""FIRE JACK"" threads ) ___ haven't made it to Omaha ___________YET, but a lot of teams have never made that trip,at all.Baseball is a funny game,with so many variables,but that's what makes it so much fun !!! Our Tigers have done so much,with so little,for so long,and I think coach Lee has instilled in them that winning way again* ( we never know who the hero will be on a given day )
Last week,we won the series against Fla. State & coach Mike Martin ,40++ wins every season,all time winning coach with the 1st game win against us,15 trips to Omaha __________yet he has never won the championship ___ makes you wonder why they never fired him ??
Hoping all TNET will be pulling for the Tigers & Coach Monte Wesley Lee II today and till they get that trophy in OMAHA !!!__________________GO TIGERS !!!!

When was the last regional he won? I'm honestly curious. I just remember us beating the average and bad teams at the end of Leggett's career, but never being able to even compete with the really good teams

As soon as he learns how to leave a pitcher in longer or take one out sooner , how to seperate certain underperforming batters when they face lefties and/or righties and when to make his players hit the baseball into empty spots around the field he will turn that corner .
Until then , Go Monte ! You're doing pretty alright .

Yes he has. I don't think people realize just how badly the program needed a change. All those one-run losses, mostly, have now turned into wins. The pitching is much better. The program is headed in the right direction.

Between tigerdug and Daniel post above, they get it. We weren’t winning many pitchers duals but we’re headed that way.
This team really hasn’t given up many runs less the Miami meltdown... which Monte took responsibility for. He’s bringing in pitching and athleticism that can play multiple spots and has speed.
You hold a team to 2-3 runs a game, you can 1 run each inning and win a lot of games. It’s a transition.
