Monday morning quarterback...

These are the things that jumped out at me.
1. When we have a two touchdown lead in the second half we need to go to ball control offense. Don't give me the " we have to stay in the fast break offense for the sake of offensive rythem" crap. What kind of rythem does a three and out give you?
2. Why aren't we bringing in 2 tight ends for protection and isolating Nuke and Sammy in man on man coverage? If we can't get the ball to one receiver then why are we sending 5 into the pattern?
3. Call of the blitzes and keep linebackers at home covering the rb's out of the back field and spying on the qb.
4. We can kick a 61 yard field goal but we can't kick it out of the endzone? ###
5. No more Sammy in the backfield unless you want to be talking about how great he was until he got blown up by the unblocked safety. Throw the ball to him let him do the rest.
Thank you for the opportunity to vent. On the bright side our defense will have to get better as the year goes on.
I don't think FSU will win the rest of their games.
We still have everything on the table.
Stay focused and let's go beat BC this weekend.

Not discounting yours... but just my thoughts.

1. Morris called a great game. You get a 2 touchdown game b/c of your tempo and playcalling.

2. I wouldn't want to bring more FSU defenders into the box. Not to mention, they wouldn't have to bring more down. They were going to leave someone over the top regardless.

3. I liked the stunts... we just couldn't get there.. but I agree.

4. Absolutely agree

5. I thought Sammy ran the ball well. He hit the hole hard, and followed his blocks. I am looking forward to more of that. It's just different ways of getting it in his hands.

I agree that everything, both conference wise and nationally, is still on the table. Let's go get it.

we did the same thing with regard to the fast break style. If we can't learn to sit on a lead offensively and give our D a break we are cutting our nose off to spite our face.

I understand the tempo part, we should have slowed down the tempo a little because a three and out that runs 15 seconds off the clock does no good. But as far as Sammy being in the backfield Chad is just trying to get him touches. He isn't always going to be able to throw 15 passes Sammy's way so by getting him 4 or 5 runs per game it maximizes the opportunities to possibly break one off for a big run (see Furman game.)
