grow little whimsy's of green hair. Thought they died out over the winter, but those green whimsys done came back. But still no actual asparagus. Does it come from the reeds above the ground nor the stuff underground?

Basically all the green bushy looking thing is asparagus. Look behind the grapes all the way to the right. It's a lot of asparagus. This patch is at least 60 years old from what we know. At the end of the growing season, we let them all go. The tips of each shoot with then sprout out and also have berries. After the 3rd frost, we cut everything to the ground and cover the bed with leaves.
