Mix my tuna with miracle whip and a sprinkle of sugar.

Jun 28, 2022, 3:26 PM

Then use it as dip with some crackers.

However you might cook a pork chop

Jun 28, 2022, 3:27 PM

So absolutely wrong.

Jun 28, 2022, 3:37 PM

I tuna steak should be rare or seared. Pork chop should be about med. completely different for chef temp.

Probably should have said prepared instead of cooked.

Jun 28, 2022, 3:42 PM

But I'm also not a huge fan of rare tuna and will cook it more to meadium rare to medium.

crusted, sashimi style with a dab of wasabi

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Canned would be solid white albacore w a little Mayo and mustard.

Jun 28, 2022, 3:39 PM

Crackers to put it on. Now a nice filet should be dusted w some spices and olive oil. Grilled for 3 min per side max for med rare. I prefer just 2 min per side for rare.

sushi grade is one thing

Jun 28, 2022, 4:33 PM

but when I worked in Italy, there was a restaurant close to the plant that would prepare

canned tuna, sautéed with garlic and olive oil, chili flakes and grape tomatoes. They would put some pasta in the pan and serve with warm bread.

May have just been Italy but it was pretty good. Never have been able to perfect that at home though

Few good ones actually

Jun 28, 2022, 3:40 PM

1) Chop it up finely and cook in sauce pan until medium rare. Make hotdogs and then use Tuna as chili.

Too) if you're looking for an appetizer for cocktail hour, cube tune up and salt it (don't pepper). Freeze it over night. Make a Mojito and use the tuna cubes as ice.

Tree) Mash up some yams. Add in some brown sugar, cinnamon, and pecans (puh-khans you imbreds). spread out in a baking dish. Put tuna in blender and finely mince/shred. Pour tuna goop on top off yam mess in baking dish. Bake on 375 for minutes.

If all else fails, simply boil it for 69 minutes like Facebookcoach would do.

Tartare. Dice it small. Toss in soy, grated ginger, grated garlic, scallion, sugar, fish sauce, white pepper, lime, sesame oil. Make a tower. Bottom, ripe avocado. Finely chopped cilantro. Ripe mango. Tuna. Top w toasted sesame seeds. Eat with wonton chips.

It’s a staple when i need dinner in a pinch and don’t want to go to the store. Always have a can of fish on hand and some spuds. And capers, anchovies, parsley, olive oil, eggs, and lemon because I’m middle class fancy

Tuna Laguna

Jun 28, 2022, 4:19 PM

Mix canned tuna with mayo, salt, and pepper. Put on toast, top with cheese (american), put in oven until cheese melts. Old family favorite. No idea why it is called that, just what we have always said.

Take a saltine cracker, put a dollop of starkist tuna on top, slice some Vienna sausages thinly on top of the tuna, gently layer a slice of generic Velveeta on that, microwave for 20 seconds. Pair with Franzia.

Instead of microwaving

Jun 28, 2022, 6:24 PM
