Mitch Hyatt

Oct 3, 2014, 8:51 PM

He looks pretty good tonight. He just has to work on staying low and creating leverage. He seems to do a very good job on pass plays using his feet to stay in front of the defender.

If he gains about 25lbs of muscle, he'll be starting as a true freshman

If he is then there is no reason that he shouldn't start. He is just too good and will probably be here for 3 years

Once he focuses on football and quit playing basketball he'll gain weight. He could easily make the 2 deep by spring. We need him badly and the other oline early enrolees .

Just need his health

JK Jay would've been our rock at LT, but his injury ended what would've been. Not could've been....what would've been.

Clemson doesn't care about basketball....as evidenced by Brown-L getting 14 years.

What is his number?

How are his hips?

Oct 3, 2014, 10:13 PM

does he get them around on run blocks?

Re: How are his hips?

He looks good on run blocks, but he needs to get lower. He has a tendency to try and use his strength versus weaker opponents instead of gaining leverage by firing out of his stance and staying low. This isn't a big deal because most highly touted linemen in high school do this. They are used ti just being bigger and stronger than everyone else. Let caldwell get his hands on this guy and he will be alright.
