Mikey Dukes

Jan 1, 2020, 7:35 PM

As athletic as he is could you see him making a move to receiver?

It seems like we are at a higher level than that as WRU. You never know though. I don't.

I’ve thought Dukes runs hard. When he hits the line, he doesn’t look like he’s there to exchange pleasantries.

This brings to mind Kelly Bryant.

You hear all the “ ...stuck to their dream and the dream came to fruition...”. However, I believe if KB had made the switch to DB or WR - as I think was considered - and not been insistent that he play QB, he would have a better chance of making it at the next level.

However, with Dukes, I like the way he runs the ball. At 5’ 11” and 200(-), I’m not sure WR works for him.

Whatever choice(s) you make makes you. Choose wisely.

KB is more athletic than most QBs but isn't as athletic as some people think. He would flop as a DB or WR.

Only position I could see him changing to is TE if he gained a few pounds.

Don’t know .... not too impressed with KB overall ... think he is much better in his own mind than in actuality ...

If people were as good as their obituary - and products were as good as advertised - this would truly be a wonderful world !!

If we were incredibly thin at WR, I guess I could see that,

but I think we're in good shape there.

I think it would be smart to cross train someone like Dukes. Higgins is almost certain to go to the NFL and I'm not sure if you can count on Chase and Powell to stick around either.

Dukes is a RB that is a pass catching specialist out of the backfield. He can easily beat LBs in coverage. There is a definite role for him on the team. Hopefully he can pass block sufficiently. From the little I saw, he's a decent runner too.

Definitely do not see him as a full time receiver against CBs and safeties.

We moved a very talented WR to CB because we were

... pretty set at Wide Receiver.

Not sure what Dukes would add at receiver that we don’t already have.
