Yes. It’s had some recall/tsb issues but that’s expected with domestics. I like enough I want another one for my next vehicle.

Unless the TCO on these smaller trucks is way more favorable, I don't see why you'd saddle them with a less capable truck.
Note, I do not know the prices of Tacomas vs all the other stuff.

Downtown Atlanta parking and parking decks. About 1/3 of our trips are there and it suuuucks with F-150/Silverado size truck. That’s the main reason.

I love it, only problem is it’s smaller than my tundra I had, but obviously that’s not of concern to you.
I think the 2019’s or 2020’s now have Airplay which is awesome.

I have a 2016 Colorado. It's a great truck. Even the most recent comparisons of mid-size trucks have the Colorado beating the Ranger and Tacoma.
