Jake Long

May 9, 2013, 12:00 PM

I have talked with members of the baseball team who have told me more than once that Jake may have the best stuff of all the pitchers currently on staff. This includes Gossett, Firth, and everyone else. I was told that had he been able to play this season he would have started the season in the weekend rotation based on his outings in intersquad scrimmages.

I hope the information is correct and we will be adding a great arm to the rotation next year!

I totally agree. Last night I watched Bouleware have to block what seemed like every other pitch that was throw in the dirt. Not only is he playing alot, he is getting "beat up" having to block so many pitches.

2 were against Furman in their hometown. That's how they score it....

Considering Furman has a stadium,

that doesn't make sense to me... but hey, a win on the road is better than a win at neutral site in the RPI, so I'll take it. I read that and it just threw me a bit.
