Micah Rogers

Jul 20, 2015, 3:57 PM

Is just young and stupid and he is surely going to pay for his crime. But let his punishment be just and fair. I'm not in favor of all this throw away the key talk. That would surely not be a reasonable punishment.

I love Clemson and I agree he deserves jail time but all within what's reasonable. Every person in our great country deserves a fair trial.

And if he returns the broken part, I'd give him a little less time for cooperating.

It's not always about being right, wrong, just or fair....

Jul 20, 2015, 4:02 PM

Often, it's more about who has the better lawyer.

And he clearly doesn't have good one. A good one would have pled it out, this one is going to trial....in Pickens.

didn't he ask for a change in venue and was denied... have

Jul 21, 2015, 9:58 AM

you seen the case file?

do you know if there was a deal offered and if there was one do you know what it was?

perhaps the deal wasn't sweet enough to avoid trial?
perhaps his attorney feels the evidence & case the people have against his client isn't strong enough? perhaps he delivered the deal(s) to his client and his client refused? the attorney is not the boss, the client is.

do you know where the appellate court(s) are located or if that's a desired path forward? do you know the various grounds or paths available for next leveling this to a more palatable or fair venue since apparently Pickens isn't fair?

I don't even think he deserves jail time. Just some probation and lots of community service. Let him spend his weekends down at the animal shelter scooping poop.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Good post....dittos! Also agree with the community...

Jul 20, 2015, 4:15 PM

service vesus jail time! Let him do something that is productive for the community!

military_donation.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Honestly, I feel like getting a year's jail time would be

Jul 20, 2015, 4:22 PM

fair. Let him spend a few weeks in a real prison then let him out. I feel like there are enough internet crazies to make his real life hell for the rest of time. We'll just need to make sure they don't get lazy.

Do they move the rock after games or not I hope they do move it.

Jul 20, 2015, 4:25 PM

I say we give him a year per inch of rock he took. Whatever that comes too...

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Make it cubic inches and we have a deal***

ROH

Any sort of lesser punishment needs to come with

Jul 20, 2015, 4:30 PM

an apology and an admission of guilt from the kid. All of the lies and family's failure to take responsibility (including the attempted cover-up) is the worst part for me. I wouldn't at all be opposed to some sort of a plea deal, but the kid at least needs to fess up.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

make it so that he can't post pics of his truck on FB.

Jul 20, 2015, 4:36 PM

that would probably break his heart.

badge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

FAT TAX NOW!

Re: Micah Rogers

Jul 20, 2015, 4:53 PM

All depends on his level of cooperation.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

He says he is not guilty and is taking it to a jury trial

Jul 20, 2015, 5:36 PM

I'm not sure what you mean by cooperation, but he certainly says he didn't do it and thinks a jury will not find him guilty.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Stone him!!!!!***

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

Liability Cola by CU_Tigers_time is now trending on Tnet.

LOL He has zero chance for jail time

Jul 20, 2015, 5:32 PM

If he is found guilty he will get a suspended sentence and a big fine (that his parents will pay) a couple years probation and a lot of community service.

2024 orange level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

And that is where the good psychos of the internet come in.

Jul 21, 2015, 9:20 AM

Any attempt at social media or anything he ever does, just make it suck for him.

badge-donor-05yr.jpgringofhonor-aero.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

The kid is white. He'll cry and pay his way out of anything

Jul 20, 2015, 7:08 PM

serious.

2024 white level memberbadge-donor-10yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

There's something in these hills.

Re: Micah Rogers

Jul 20, 2015, 7:13 PM

As young as he looks, and gets jail time? After about 3 months of SC Dept of Corrections #### Resizing program....he'll be able to fit The Rock, a pom-pom and a large Slushee up in there.

He best pray for mercy and get probation.

badge-donor-05yr.jpg flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I can see him in a prison chain gang...breaking rocks.

Jul 21, 2015, 9:26 AM

What? Who doesn't love irony?

In all seriousness, I don't really care what the punishment is. Community service is fine. I can't imagine the kid will be anything but a pariah in the upstate or anywhere you find Clemson fans for the rest of his life.

Re: I can see him in a prison chain gang...breaking rocks.

Jul 21, 2015, 9:53 AM

Let him have a year of weekends in Pickens Co. Jail, be put on probation for at least three years and pick up all the trash from Death Valley after every home game without being there to watch beforehand. Pounding rocks at some point also fits the crime!
