Question for some of the older Tiger fans on here...

Unfortunately I am not old enough to remember the days when Danny was the coach. When I look at some of the old pictures (like the one below) I noticed he is wearing a hat with a "C" on it. Does anyone know what the "C" stood for? Was that used to designate that he was the Coach? What say you Tiger fans?

I have a hat just like that one packed away with tons of everything Clemson. Some times I will take a container down out of one of my out buildings and go back down memory lane setting there all by myself. Some of it I don't remember why I got it, but if it was Clemson, that is the reason I use now for having it. I have told my wife that one day that I would take most all of it down to fan appreciation day and just let fans go through it and take what they want of it. I just can't do it right now, it still means way to much to me. But if I pass before I can let go of it, she has been told to take it to who ever the coach is ( and I think it will be Dabo) and tell him to let the fans have what they want of it. All of it is used, but is still in very good shape. I'm the only owner of my custom Tiger Harley, and it will be raffled off at a big game after I pass b/c only a Clemson Tiger would have it. And by living in Dumplumbia, it would be hard to sell.

I wouldn't feel good about that deal GW. Some of my stuff I have had 50 years that I would love to see go to another Tiger collection for free. But that won't be until I'm sure its getting time to separate myself from it. We never know when we're gonna go, but we do have that felling when time is near. My mother, my sister and my brother all told me they wouldn't be here next year. And all three wasn't. When and if I start having those feelings is when I'll let other Tiger fans have it all for free. Money at that time could never mean more to me than the look on the fans faces of what they found in my containers that has been kept by me for all but 10 years of my life. I was 10 when I knew I was a Tiger fan. My best friend George Tindal's parents ( The Tindals from pinewood sc )and I'm sure his uncle was Lesly Tindal that was once on the BOT at Clemson. They took me to my first Clemson game, and that was when my blood turned Orange. Longest ride I'd ever been on in my life then. But a very good family of Clemson folks got me at an early age. And I've been what some call a true Tiger ever since. So I would rather just give it the way my first Tiger experience was gave to me.
