Depends how you look at it. Next week FL will be ranked top 10 soooo…

Mehh!

Going back years; when have you seen a SEC team open at a ranked opponents home field? Give Utah credit for not being sec-like and asking for a neutral field.
They might play a ranked opponent early; but not in their house.
And playing in Mercedes Benz in N.O. or ATL doesn't count or Arlington, TX. Not even Charlotte, NC.

Oregon and Utah had the audacity to come to the South and challenge: "you won't ever see that from SEC schools"!

Going to the swamp was suicide and crazy. Utah had nothing to gain and everything to lose. They lost

Very true ..

Sep 3, 2022, 10:56 PM [ in reply to Mehh! ]

I'd love to see a list of SEC schools that play true road games against P5 teams. The ones that played us are on the very short list.

Utah got inside the 5 twice and came up empty... That's the difference in the game.

Good for Billy Napier. Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.***

Both are likely true

Two good teams and a really good game. Florida is much better than they have been.

Florida looks like they are better coached than they have been in over a decade. They have a fantastic QB and a coach that knows how to use him. If he stays healthy they can be competitive in the Least.

The hemorrhaging for the PAC continues

They already had a bad offseason w/ the USC/UCLA to B10 move taking place. They really needed a good showing w/ 2 of their top teams in premier matchups with the SEC. But Oregon getting embarrassed & Utah faltering late was another blow to a league that needed something positive to happen

Utah is a well coached team that lacks play makers . That TE is a good one. Florida will develop into a contender in short order under Napier. Bad news for the coots

Probably some of both. But mostly Utah overrated***

Sep 3, 2022, 11:25 PM

We would have never won a single natty if preseason prognostications were law.

I mean the line was Utah -2.5, so really this isn’t a shocking result. I think it means a little bit of both but too early to tell

Florida is underrated.

Too many good players to be an unranked team.

Keep in mind Florida was a preseason top 10 team last year. Alas, Mullen's a scumbag and lost control.

All Florida needs is good leadership and coaching, and the talent will show up.
