Braves can't get over .500 and stay over .500 to save their lives

Yeah, that last series against the Phillies really hurt them.

It just seemed to deflate them. But it’s a long season. And you can never bank on the Mets, especially if anything serious happens to DeGrom.

It’s been a rough go for the Bravos but if they can be near .500 by the All Star break they still have a great chance to take the division. ??????

Go Tigers and Braves!

The Braves played well enough to win yesterday notwithstanding the horrendous outing by Tucker Davidson who gave up five hits, two HR's, and five earned runs through two innings.

Of course, as usual, the Braves managed to battle back but the bullpen, once again, could not hold the lead. This time it was Chris Martin who gave up three hits including a HR, and three earned runs over one inning of work.

Meanwhile Melancon(sp) is leading the league in saves

Or at least tied for the lead - and the Braves let him walk away.

the Braves were supposed to have one of the best bullpens in baseball which, obviously, hasn't materialized. Quite the opposite in fact.

At the end of the day, the decision to let Malancon walk probably come down to money. I think the Braves really like him and I'm not sure what he wanted compared to what the Braves were willing to pay. However, he signed a one-year deal with the Padres for $2 million. I find it hard to believe the Brave's wouldn't have been willing to pay that to keep him particularly considering the MLBTR had a prediction for Melancon to garner $4 million when the offseason started.

I think the Braves decided to put their money on Ozuna which came back to bite them.
