Glorious Moment - And Priceless Memory of a Lifetime!

Yesterday, I thanked Hokie Mark for posting the highlight video of Clemson's 44-16 win. Today, Hokie Mark has posted a video of the final drive that culminated with Watson-to-Renfrow in the 35-31 game on his ACC-based website (link below). I am, therefore, giving another shout-out to Hokie Mark!
The memory of that game is even more special to me because of what it meant to my (then) teen-aged son and to me. He had wanted to go to the game in Phoenix the year before but we did not go. It occurred to me later that I might have missed an opportunity that I might never get back.
My son (CBProf Jr, of course) was 16 the next year when the game was played in Tampa. After missing an opportunity the previous year, I felt like I had been given a second chance as my son and I were able to go to the game. Our seats had us looking right over that beautiful play with one second remaining. Surrounded by Clemson fans, everyone around us erupted with joy! It was beautiful!!
There are times when sports offer moments that have meaning beyond just a game! It is a memory I have that I will cherish forever. A moment of joy that I shared with my son during his teen years.
The tickets were expensive. The whole trip was expensive. And worth every penny. Some things are priceless. Sometimes, I still get a bit emotional thinking about that priceless night!
Thanks, again, Hokie Mark

Right there with you CB. The attached picture is my daughter on the field after the game. Priceless memories for both of us!

Similar aged sons, very similar experience

I sent my son to Phoenix with his uncle and cousin, and he came home exhilarated but disappointed
When we came so close and then had another shot the next hear, I took my 17 year old son AND his 14 year old sister to Tampa (with the same uncle and cousin, plus that cousin's younger sister). Expensive trip, but one for the ages! Did not get to go to Miami in January 1982, and nearly missed us catching lightning in a bottle in January 2016, so nothing was keeping me from experiencing something that might have never happened again.
Then dang ole Dabo had to go and do it again two years later!

Both are excellent. The link below has no announcers, is shorter, has music, but the the outcome is the same. One my favorite movies. Thanks to SeldomUsedReserve. Me and my family and several siblings and their families were there. Not on the field, though. Did smoke cigars in the parking lot afterwards. No traffic when we left.

Never get tired of watching that video. So fun how many of our great players made crucial plays in that drive. Kind of special seeing that CJ Fuller makes the first play of that drive. Bet that's something his parents enjoy. Lost him too young.
