suspending games for some lightning and a penalty called targeting (which, by the way, can be reviewed, but if it is found that it was not realy targeting, the penalty stands anyway....but the player is not ejected....) seem a bit annoying. Btw does everyone get a trophy and a healthy snack when they leave their seats for the game delay?

... struck the field and left one person dead, another person a shell of her former self, and me suddenly lying on the ground wondering what happened (but, thankfully, uninjured), the game should be suspended until the weather clears.

It can happen without warning and leave a lot of devastation.

game as safe as it can be as long as they don't fundamentally change the game, but I think that line is being crossed. Football is a rough, physical, dangerous game. It is, in large part, about using superior physical attributes to impose your will upon your opponent. That can not happen in a totally safe environment. That's just the way it is, and it can be no other way.

Having said that, I have no problem suspending games for dangerous weather, which puts everybody, including fans, in unnecessary danger.
