How did the softball team draw a 16 national seed in the first place. We were 15th in rpi, ranked 10th nationally and 1 of 4 teams with single digits in the loss column. We have the acc player of the year and potential national player of the year. Was it our loses down the stretch. Think they got the shaft as the 16 seed. Getting Oklahoma now is going to be a tough task.

The sweep by FSU, losing to Liberty, losing the series to Va Tech, losing to NC State, and getting no hit by Duke in the ACC tourny. None of that helped. All of our season stats were good, but it did look like the team was on a general decline/downturn. If they could re-seed after the regionals, we'd be higher, I'm sure, but they can't, so here we are. They definitely have their confidence and swagger back and I think we can give OU some game. I think it will help us, too, coming in as an underdog. They may have gotten a little over-confident being on top for so long.
