If Cade Klubnick comes in and starts. You can tell he breaks down defenses better then DJ. This kid is talented and will be the next elite QB at Clemson. Wouldn’t matter who’s calling the plays as talented as klubnick is.

Of course it would for many reasons; schemes, play calling (remember the 4th and 1 deep throws and the 3rd and 11 runs up the middle) and countless bubble screens? Fresh eyes brings a more innovative playbook, team know what we’re running and adjust before the snap. Hopefully better coaching and player development and more importantly - recruiting.

There were times this year where the play calling was absolutely terrible.
There was a game we were winning with 5 minutes left. We had the ball and up to that moment averaged around 6 yards per carry. We threw 3 straight incompletions and ran 19 seconds off the clock giving the other team 2 chances to win the game. The guy calling the plays is important. More so with young QBs.
