Nobody has ever said rhat we didnt need o-max. He's one of the only transfers out that really hurt.

I was assured by the Brownell Bros that he was a “quitter” and we “upgraded”. They certainly know more than the NBA scouts.

So all the guys who quit on their schools to come to Clemson are just "all in?" Either portal guys are quitters all around or they aren't. I happen to think they aren't, circumstances change - opportunities change - whatever... but I have heard otherwise from one of our bradskball experts.

Is there a reason you only addressed the first part of my statement. If O-Max’s replacement was an upper half first round draft pick (which is what an upgrade from would need to have been please let me know which Clemson player that would be an how Brownell managed to miss the tourney two years in a row with that player in the program.

1. Olivier had 1 decent year at marquette. He was not projected to get drafted until he balled out at the combine and his measurables were impressive
2. For the year that naz was here olivier and naz were basically a wash in terms of production. The slight edge probably goes to naz.
3. Not sure where he said we didn't need omax, but i could have missed.
Whose stats would you rather have?
21.2 minutes per game, 5.7 ppg on 52.6% shooting, 4.1 reb per game, 1.7 assists per game
Or
20.7 minutes per game, 6.6 points on 46% shooting, 3.3 reb per game, .9 assists per game

Im not trying to justify anything. I was pissed when we lost omax. Thought he hd great potential. Unfortunately his potential didnt shine through until this past year.

See above and stop changing the subject (and poorly misrepresenting stats while doing so). You want the guy with the NBA ceiling. If Bohannon was such a guy it’s only further indictment of Brownell. You’re cutting off your nose to spite your face.

When the stats dont tell the story you want, you say they are misrepresented. Which stats would you have liked me to include? I wont hold my breath on your answer, because you ignore these questions because they poke a hole in every argument of yours.
I would have rather had omax long term. The year that he transferred, naz was a slight upgrade for that year. That year only. Multiple things can be true at once.

Above I went to the trouble of bringing the receipts to prove your statement definitively incorrect. You’ve ignored it. This is why it isn’t worth digging up the facts and laying them out in an organized manner to refute you. You, like JK before you, ignore it when you’re beaten and just start the whole operation up again. Comparing two different players years at two different schools is meaningless in the context you are doing. One guy developed into an NBA player, one didn’t. Is Brad terrible at developing talent or terrible at identifying it? In the scenario you’ve committed yourself to those are pretty much the only options. O-Max didn’t grow a foot taller after leaving Clemson. His growth is the result of his talent and work ethic and the coaching that encouraged and developed it. If you’re arguing the Naz was any way comparable as a player it’s on Brownell that he couldn’t have the same level of return.
